Since the announcement that Ellen would be a new spokesperson for JCPenney, there's been an outpouring of support. There have also been a handful of critics. Ellen addressed them head-on in her monologue.

Your happiness, makes me smile, when I smile my family smiles, when they smile they pass it on to friends. You see you, My dear Ellen are the one who lifts low spirits, cheers up a chemo patient, lifts the spirits of those who are going through a bad time.
Your not just a face on the TV. Your the begining of a chain of happiness. Some call it the butterfly effect.
I call it the Ellen effect..... go girl..

I just saw this video by chance looking for another that my sister wanted me to see..Ironic that I need a birthday present for my grandson and was going to Sears. Now I'm going to JC Penney's today. Love JC Penny anyway but it was a drive for me. Thanks JC Penney for being just that great!

Hailing from a village in india knowing about Ellen happened to me one year back(when i met my GF who is english) and then i back tracked all Ellen shows which i missed. "You look same Ellen, spectacular ,since the begining of your career" and that reminds me that - its impossible to improve perfection .

my sincere regards to you and wish to meet you sometime in my life.

I am a firm believer in equal opportunity, no matter the cir***stance. Collectively, we can have that page shut down for religiously motivated discrimination on the basis of orientation. That page is turning into a religious based cult that should not be tolerated, and the 1st amendment has limitations which can not include discrimination as worded by the U.S. department of Justice. There are limitations to the freedom of speech which can not include discrimination.

Ellen, Ellen Ellen,,,
What a Hellevah Women,, You know, for all these years I've heard of you,and seen you on some shows, I never really got the time to get Interested in YOU. But For the last couple of Months I've had more and more time on my hands,,yup, work is not as it used to be. ;) to watch you on your TV Show, which I just recently discovered on a friends FB Page.,,,and also saw your Amazing "Incroyable performance" on the Oscars. Selfie and All. :) :) ,,,When ever I am feeling a little "Down 'n' Out I hook up onto the Ellen Show, and shed a few tears of "joy" ,,, on my Computer ,of course,,, Oh sorry, I forgot to tell you, I'm In Paris France. ;) we don't get your show on French TV, We should, ours is UUUUGGGH ;)

I was Born in South Africa, Raised in Israel, and been living here in France for the Last 29 years.(thats my personal history) :)
I Just want to tell you that you are an amazingly Funny ,Adorable, incredibly Generous, Inspiring and Very Beautiful Women Physically and "Emmotionally" Yes because you can even bring tears to a Guy with your Simplicity.
I don't know if you'll ever get to read my mail, but I just thought it would be nice to put this all down on "Paper" ,and who knows maybe you will see my mail someday.
I have just finished seeing your video about the "1Million Moms" and their reactions to you,and it made me quite sad to see that a " Group of "Christian Traditonal Moms" ,, can be so "Untraditional and disrespectful to you and for all you are doing,.Your Expression "Gay Str8 Bi,Who cares, Just Be Kind to one Another.Helping Others,Equal Treatment of fellow citizens, Kindness, Honesty and Compassion."should be a lesson these Moms could learn from.

I am Jewish, (Just thought I'd add this one) :) and Your Principals are Our Principals. and they are what make people like me ADMIRE people like you, "What a wonderful "Ellen" World this could be if there were More people like you.
Thanks for Being the Person you are,
An Admirer from Paris. xx

Ellen is an outstanding citizen and top star who has the same traditional values as indicates her appreciation and respect for all people. She deserves the same in return and where does anyone feel they have the right to judge another person. The Bible states in several places about JUDGE NOT LEST YOU BE JUDGED. Those narrow minded zealots who critize Ellen for her lifestyle would not hold up to the same type of judgement. Another example is trying to remove the spec from your brother's eye at the same time you have a log in yours. You would be better served to SUPPORT J.C. PENNY AND THEIR COURAGE, THAN TO TRY TO TEAR DOWN WHAT IS JUST AND GOOD. My energies are going to be redirected to support J.C. Penny.

Ellen I love how you tell it like it is while using your humor, so happy you do the things you do. Anyone who can find a reason not to like you really doesn't have the vision to see all you do. You are inspiring and you give so much, its wonderful! keep up the good work!

Ellen you are an inspiration to all people. You are a role model for people who are gay and are straight. I am a disabled gay woman who has been in a relationship with my partner for 20 years. We have a child who is now 14. My partner had her through artificial insemination. Even in Portland, Oregon my child has heard terrible things regarding gay people and their families. We have made a lot of progress, but there is still more that needs to be done. Our daughter was in a private school until I had to stop working due to my illness. The private school was very supportive. The public school tries but it isn't the same. My poor child has had to deal with feeling ostracized, excluded, and feeling different because she has two moms. We have taught Elise to think outside the box, to be who she is, and to stand up to her word and to believe in her self. She is a beautiful child (I cannot take any genetic credit for that), inside and out. People tell us, she is so beautiful, she should model. (we are in opposition to that). We are happy to have some one like you, who shows our daughter that despite it all, you are still the most kind, loving, and sincere person. By the way, I laugh hysterically through your shows!!. Sarah and I saw you in Hartford, CT before you were recognized nationally. Thank you for all you do for the entire world, but especially for teaching the world how to get along better.
PS> If you have any way to help us get to your show, we would love it.

Ellen....I have been one of your strongest supporters, since you walked on stage the first time when you were a beginning comedienne. I think you are an awesome person with wonderful "traditional" values---which I also support. To the "haters" (Million Moms) vs. JC Penney....once again, I support you all the way Ellen and will shop at JC Penney even more now that you're a part of their team. KUDOS to you and what you stand for and how you always make me laugh, without even having to try. God Bless!
