Hi Ellen,
Love the show! Sorry I missed this one. I get really excited when Tupperware is mentioned on TV!
I've been a Tupperware consultant for the better part of 26years and get sad when I hear these stories.
Hot water DOES work to loosen up the SEAL and allow it to stretch for the perfect fit.
Also don't be afraid to gently bend the seal upwards a few times, and in a couple of different spots, and it will be loosened up and stretch to fit perfectly.
Good luck. I want everyone to be happy with their Tupperware (I would love to party with you and show you the features and benefits of our world renown products.)

Poor Ellen needs a good Tupperware Consultant! Seals (are that's what we call them) ARE stretchable. Heat the seal in hot water and put it on the bowl. It will resize itself. Hope that helps.

Run hot water over the seal, when you first get it. Then put it on your container for a few hrs. You will never have this problem again. Got tons of tips & tricks for you if you ever need them when it comes to Tupperware ;-)

I emailed earlier...besides rinning hot water on the lid should work, don't put lids in the microwave. Cover the bowl with a paper plate.
This works for me.

GO SEAHAWKS!!!

Love ya Ellen. You are a very good person. Would love to see you, but can't afford it. SSI does not pay well.

had the same problem with my new tupperwear lettuce keeper - run really hot water on the lid for a few minutes, quickly press and seal it on the container and leave to cool for a while. i just "stored" it with the lid on for a couple days. So far, after using it several times,it still fits.

My Mom just called me and said "tell Ellen to use hot water on the lid!" (Please do it, she is insisting.)

They said to make the lid fit for new lids is to run them under warm/hot water and then put on. This softens the plastic. By the way u r awesome.
