I hope you have a wonderful thanksgiving holiday,I love you Ellen. I am the one who crashed my car two weeks ago with an uninsured lady (still dealing with that). The dr called today and put me on some different medicine so hopefully I won't be in too much agony over the holidays. I wanted to tell you we went to Steak n Shake yesterday and the waiter happened to be all by himself with about 6 tables to serve and we waited and waited then I noticed there was only one cook as well while the manager of the place just SAT in the lobby doing NOTHING!!! I couldn't believe this manager, aren't they there to help the employees when they are needed? My order was a bit wrong, however he was very polite in fixing it and when I didn't care for my lemonade (too sweet) he gave me a water without a problem. My check total ended up being $16.66 and in front of the manager I walked up to the young man and gave him a $10 bill. That was going to partly be my gas money but I just couldn't believe the way his own manager was treating him by not helping. When I did that the manager then took him aside and said he was doing an excellent job after I had told him that otherwise I don't think he would have been told that, he made a point to thank me on the way out. It feels really good to help out when I can.
