When my wife's father passed away, I had to wake her up but not tell her either. I had to drive her to her sisters house before revealing the news. What hurts the most is knowing that lost time they missed and how most deaths have no warnings. This family has a blessing in their own way. Yes he is going to die, but now they have time to spend knowing it is going to happen. We never prepare for it and it happens when we least expect it.
