Homemade Hummus
Chandrika S. from Renfrew, Pennsylvania sent in this recipe for Homemade Hummus.

8 oz. can of chick peas (garbanzos)
One half Jalapeno pepper
One teaspoon of peanut butter
Teaspoon of salt and water
Optional for better taste; lemon juice, cilantro, ginger/garlic powder.

Add all five items in a blender and mixed for a less than minute or until it is smooth. If you like, have some crunchy taste of chick peas by blending a little less. Use as a condiment and spread on a slice of bread, buns or subs instead of mayonnaise or dressing. Good to keep in refrigerator.
