Bellamy Young
Bellamy Young was born in Asheville, North Carolina, and grew up singing and performing in local theater productions. Although she dreamed of becoming a physicist, she studied English and Acting at Yale and Oxford. Throughout the '90s and early 2000s, she landed guest roles on shows like "Law and Order," "The Drew Carey Show," "ER" and "Scrubs," but it was her role as the devious First Lady of the United States on "Scandal" – a role that was originally supposed to last only a few episodes – that put Young on the map.
