Actor, producer, DJ and America's favorite sidekick on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Tony Okungbowa has turned likeability into an art form. He was raised in London and Lagos by Nigerian parents in a house where the music reigned supreme. Tony received an undergraduate degree in Drama from England's Middlesex University and after some theatre work in the UK, moved to New York City for graduate study at Lee Strasberg. It was in Manhattan where his career took off, landing roles on shows like "The X-Files," "NYPD Blue" and many others. Next, he was off to Los Angeles where his work as an actor and DJ kicked into high gear. Soon he was spinning at celebrity photo shoots for the top names in Hollywood. It was on one of these photo shoots where he met Ellen DeGeneres, and the rest is history! He's now the man who makes Ellen dance every day, and has been a fixture on the hit show for its incredible 9-season run.
In addition to his daily role on the show, Tony is in constant demand to play at high profile events around the world including the Grammys, the ESPYs and corporate events for Motorola among others. His love of music can also be found in albums he has released and collaborated on, including "Hollywood Sessions Vol. 1", "Total Dance 2009" and the soon to be released "A Night to Remember."
Most recently, Tony has set his sights behind the camera as well. He starred in and produced the film "Ma George," set to be released in 2013.
