GOOD MORNING EVERYONE !!! YESTERDAY THE WORLD LOST A YOUNG LADY NAMED TALIA . SHE WAS SUCH AN INSPIRATION TO ANYONE GOING THROUGH SOMETHING. SHE WAS THE STRONGEST 13 YEAR OLD I HAVE HAVE ENCOUNTERED. SHE WAS ON THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW AND ELLEN ASKED HER HOW SHE STAYED STRONG THROUGH HER ORDEAL WITH CANCER. TALIA TOLD ELLEN THAT SHE REMEMBERS WHAT A LITTLE FISHY TOLD HER FROM FINDING NEMO. "JUST KEEP SWIMMING, JUST KEEP SWIMMING". (ELLEN WAS THE VOICE OF SAID FISH , DORY) COVERGIRL MADE HER AN OFFICIAL COVER GIRL BECAUSE WHEN NOT GOING THROUGH CHEMO OR FEELING SICK , SHE MADE HOW TO APPLY MAKEUP TUTORIALS ON YOUTUBE . AND BELIEVE ME , SHE WAS GOOD. I SAID ALL THIS TO MAKE A POINT. NO MATTER WHAT WE ARE GOING THROUGH, HOW WE ARE FEELING, OR ANYTHING THAT IS BOTHERING US TO THE POINT OF WANTING TO GIVE UP REMEMBER TALIA AND WHAT KEPT HER GOING. REPEAT TO YOURSELVES "JUST KEEP SWIMMING , JUST KEEP SWIMMING" AND KEEP IT MOVING. LIFE IS SHORT, ENJOY IT. RIP TALIA

MY HUSBAND SHANNON IS ALSO ON OXYGEN FOR SARCOIDOSIS AS WELL AS DIALYSIS FOR HIS END STAGE RENAL DISEASE. WE ARE REALLY STRUGGLING TO PAY OUR BILLS FOR SHANNONS DISABILITY CHECK IS THE ONLY INCOME FOR OUR HOUSEHOLD. I CANT WORK BECAUSE I HAVE TO CARE FOR MY HUSBAND. HOPEFULLY WE WILL BE ABLE TO HAVE OUR SURGERY SOON SO THAT SHAN CAN GET WELL AND I CAN GO BACK TO WORK. I AM HIS LIVING DONOR AND WILL BE GIVING HIM A KIDNEY AT EMORY UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL IN ATLANTA. WE COULD REALLY USE YOUR HELP . WITH HIS ILLNESS IF WE LOSE OUR ELECTRICITY OR HEATING GAS IT COULD BE FATAL. WE RECENTLY RELOCATED TO GEORGIA FROM CHICAGO BECAUSE WE COULD NO LONGER AFFORD TO LIVE THERE. PLEASE CONSIDER HAVING SHUTTERFLY HELP US. WE COULD REALLY USE THE ASSISTANCE NO MATTER WHAT IT MAY BE. THANKS SO MUCH TEBA
My husband Shannon has been battling End Stage Renal Disease for the last two years. In May of 2011 he started dialysis treatment to stay alive. He is fortunate to be doing nocturnal (overnight) hemodialysis at the North Henry Davita in Stockbridge Ga. He is doing fairly well on this treatment but will need to have a kidney transplant soon. Shannon is NOT able to work at this time, which is causing him quite a bit of stress as he is used to being independent.
Shannon has Medicare and Medicaid coverage, which is a blessing, but this will not cover all the costs for the transplant. The good news is that I am a match for him and will be able to give him my kidney. The bad news is that our transplant surgery has been put on hold until we can raise enough money to cover the prescriptions for the anti-rejection medication needed after the transplant that the insurance won't cover. This is a long lasting situation as Shannon will have to take these medications for the rest of his life. We will need to raise over $20,000 for the required immunosuppressant medications.
I AM THE MOTHER OF A LESBIAN DAUGHTER AND GOD MOTHER TO A GAY SON . I SUPPORT ALL THINGS GAY RELATED. SAME SEX MARRIAGE, SAME SEX ADOPTIONS ETC. IVE ALWAYS HAD GAY FRIENDS GROWING UP, AND MY MOTHER RECENTLY MADE THE COMMENT THAT IT WAS GETTING ME READY FOR MY DAUGHTER. IRONICALLY NAMED LADY AT BIRTH DUE TO HER BEING BORN WITH HER LEGS CROSSED. I GET INTO HEATED DISCUSSIONS WHEN I HEAR PEOPLE MAKE HORRIBLE REMARKS IF A GAY OR LESBIAN PERSON WALKS PAST OR IS ANYWHERE I JUST HAPPEN TO BE. I WILL NOT STAND BY AND WATCH SOMEONE BE BULLIED. I WOULD LOVE OT OPEN UP A CENTER WHERE GAY TEENS AND ADULTS CAN COME A LEARN, BE TESTED AND JUST HAVE A GREAT TIME WITH EACH OTHER AND NOT BE JUDGED FOR THEIR SEXUAL PREFERENCE. MY BELIE IS THAT YOU ARE BORN GAY AND SHOULD EMBRACE IT WITHOUT BEING JUDGED.
