I'm a big fan of Harry Connick Jr. and both my parents are from Louisiana so I enjoy that accent of his as well. While I like his singing I prefer his acting. His roles in Independence Day with Will Smith and his role with Sandra Bullock are my favorites. Plus he played a doctor in a tv movie about cancer testing that was memorable. t really takes a long time to bring cures to market which is good and bad. I enjoy your show Ellen. Many of the celebs bring their best personality to your show and it is good to see.
There are several celebrities I have enjoyed seeing on your show. Taylor Lautner (the werewolf from Twilight), Matthew Perry, Josh Duhamel (Not sure I spelled his name right, from Transformers and the Las Vegas show with James Caan). I also enjoyed Hugh Jackman (love that wolverine look) as well as Justin Timberlake. I like the ladies as well. I enjoyed a shirtless Liam Neeson and Mario Lopez but I don't want the men to fell they are just objects and only desired for their bodies. I feel this is a reversal of the 50's with more women working and openly oggling beefcake. Listen the little tyke that sang Nicki M. Starship song was wonderful. Plus all the scenes where they helped the pregnant lady pick up her oranges and you surprised them with gift cards/cash. Rewarding the right behaviour. I cry when you help a family in need or let an member of our troops see his/her family and reassure them they are appreciated by the US citizens they fight to protect. I enjoy it all Ellen. You have an uplifting and inspiring show. Thank you.
RE: Chasing Ice -- After I saw "The Day After Tomorrow " with Dennis Quaid and Jake Gyllenhaal I was further motivated to make more changes. We finally got a high efficiency washer and when the dryer goes it will be replaced with a he dryer. I almost have all the tvs in my house (4) replaced with lower energy LED/LCD tvs. We don't have solar panels yet but we use the higher efficiency light bulbs. I had a chance to go to Alaska and see a Glacier and actually be on top of one. I really believe they are melting and the earth will take care of itself. Science fiction is just delayed reality to me.
This is a welcome surprise Day 13 of the #12DaysofGiveaways. #PickMeEllen. Happy Holidays and it's great someone will continue to have a memorable holiday. Thank you for the giving spirit.
This is the eleventh day. I would be happy if you pick me Ellen. I am so happy that these major retailers are giving to the Red Cross, Hurrican Relief and maybe even Sandy Hook disasters. I am blessed with a loving family that many do not have and we look forward to Les Miserables on Christmas Day. Happy Holidays to the entire Ellen staff.
It is interesting hearing Hugh Jackman speak in his native tongue. I am enjoying your show. Hugh Jackman is a definite favorite of mine. I had to pull down my sexy picture of Wolverine at work so I would not violate office sexual harrassment policies. He various roles are entertaining and I can't wait for Les Miserables
Happy Holidays for Day 9 The gifts today are fantastic. I love to take pictures and think the camera and printer would be wonderful while the floor is being cleaned with the new world robotic cleaner.. How cool is that..#12daysofgiveways #PickMeEllen
Todays show with Amanda and Usher are a lot of fun. I can't wait to see Les Miserables. Yesterday's giveaway to Compton's Foster Elementary brought tears to my eyes. You make me think of ways I can give more. So yes you are inspiring and making a difference to me. I am not mobile and wouldn't be able to stand and serve food in the kitchens but I can donate by phone and text to Sandy's relief and help someone at the market (one of the places I do go). Keep inspiring folks Ellen, you're beautiful.
Since Day 8 gifts were all about taking a vacation it was great to see the faces of the people in the audience. Day 9 which focuses on music might have folks burst out in song! Happy Holiday
I have to admit I enjoy the TV because I am not very mobile. I also love reading. Best Buy is one of my favorite stores. Watching you give gifts to deserving people is addictive. Love you Ellen
Ellen, the absolute best thing about your show to me is the joy and happiness you bring to so many deserving people. I have been home on disability since 4/13/2012 and fortunately that gives me the opportunity to watch your show at 4pm Monday - Friday unless I have a doctor's appointment or surgery conflict. Your show is uplifting. I'd like to think that I as a Christian make a difference with my donations to the American Red Cross or Cancer Fund or the Los Angeles Mission. There are so many deserving Charities helping those around us. I love watching you give. Special thanks to your sponsors "Shutterfly" and others. They are great!!!
