I made this last night and it was amazing! Interestingly enough, boxed fusilli was sold out at my local grocery store - I thought to myself, everyone must have seen Drew make this on Ellen and rushed out to try the recipe at home (just like I did) :-) I used boxed bucatini (which is delicious, by the way - it was my first time trying it).
I definitely think "three tablespoons of onion salt" was a typo/mistake. Just ONE tablespoon of onion salt was way too much so I added a little sugar to help balance the flavor and it saved the day. Next time, I will only use a teaspoon of onion salt.
