Ellen, I have been a fan since the 80's, and now in my 60th year, I may be the oldest band groupie. I have to share this, and not just because my son is a member of this LA band. But because I know to my core, they are worth your time to listen. Or just Google them. Fire in the Hamptons. Here is an article about them to give you an idea. Great videos on YouTube. Their songs have been featured on Gossip Girl and other shows. They are in your back yard. Please give them a listen. http://beorwear.blogspot.com/2012/10/you-should-know-fire... Hope to be in your audience soon. Waiting to hear if I got tickets for my son - or would I know within a couple of days after clicking the button for tickets? Thanks for your time. Thanks for all you are and all you do.
I have been entering everyday on twitter and elsewhere, to win, thinking my cir***stance was worthy of being lifted up. That seems so hollow today. After the horror in Newtown, all I can do is feel sad and empty that such a terrible thing has happened to so many. My heart aches alongside the rest of the country. We are blessed to have people like Ellen in the world, who bring light, even when all else seems so dark.
Woke up today again thinking about the quote from Martha Graham that Madonna shared with you in your early days, Ellen. Today, I am compelled to act on the words "You have to keep open and aware directly to the urges that motivate you." I ask that someone from your staff view YouTube videos for my son's band, Fire in the Hamptons, or just this one:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVCJBlKMYLcThey are quickly gaining a large following in LA and will be at the Roxy on the 28th for the KROQ show. Anyway, my son is the drummer, and has no vehicle. He works full time and his life is his music and work. He walks a long distance to work and any spare money he has goes to studio rehearsals and band expenses. I would do anything to help him get a vehicle, and pray that you can see what great people these four lads are, big hearts, and true artists. Thanks and have a blessed holiday season. Thanks for allowing me to write in.
