Last week it was Tom Hanks, this week Julia Roberts! Julia I love you!! Another of my handful of favorites and inspirations that light me up when I watch her movies and were always a part of my dream to be in film. Everyone loved Pretty Woman of course… I remember my first school dance growing up in NZ and we had to dress as a favorite song or theme song to a movie etc… I went as Pretty Woman :) lol If I lived closer I would give anything to be a part of the audience for such an awesome experience, I never ask for tickets because I'm not sure I could make the flight physically. I know I can fly direct flights 3 hrs or less, and I've said if there is one person I would risk the extra pain and side effects for, they do have direct flights to LA around 5 hrs, and Ellen would be the dream worth the extra pain and recovery to try! :) A bucket list wish too good to be true. That would be a dream to plan ahead I'm sure, but I wanted write here to say Thank You to Julia for all the happiness and inspiration she has given me in my life… I may never get to see the dream of acting come true, but it is the one dream that truly will never leave the core of my heart and each cell of my body. I still tingle with excitement if I daydream some magic wand washing over me and the life I lost reappearing…a miracle that allows even the chance to go after that biggest dream. It's being able to try your best and follow your passion that is a gift in itself :). Julia Roberts is one of those great joys that light up the screen and although I never got to go after my passion, it became my medicine instead these past 17 years. Looking forward to a fun day with two awesome women! I'll be celebrating with you from home…though I know you film a day earlier, so have fun tomorrow I think. lol Can't wait to hear that Julia Roberts laugh! (mystic pizza was a favorite too that I never think is mentioned enough!) Happy Holidays xo
OMG this is already one of my favorite shows :)! TOM HANKS has been one of my favorite actors since I was a kid, one of the big inspirations that made me want to be an actor and involved in film myself. It was about the fun of it all and for me a way to see the world and experience everything (from horseback riding and sword fighting to learning about law or what it's like to be a teacher or even a librarian for a role). He made it a dream, so talented, one of my all time first favorites "BIG" of course!…but I guess Splash came before that. I think I've seen every single one of his films. Losing the ability to go after that dream, after my surfing accident at 17, has been heartbreaking…though I don't think the dream of film will ever leave me and I know my love for Tom Hanks will always put a happy smile on my face. I actually just watched him in re-runs of Family Ties on Netflix this weekend, when I couldn't sleep at night! I totally forgot he was Uncle Ned! LOVE YOU TOM! Love that you are a family man too…and stayed with your awesome wife Rita all these years in the world of Hollywood :). Thanks for being an inspiration and for so many laughs and smiles all these years.
If Tom Hanks and Ellen aren't already the greatest fun for a show… Go Pirates! My 9 1/2 years of transplant and post-transplant surgeries here in Pittsburgh have made me a true Black & Gold fan and McCutchen is definitely one of our boys :). This year was so much fun to watch, another medicine for me, we truly didn't want the season to end! Have fun with Ellen Andrew… we're already looking forward to next season!
hmmmm, not sure why *** out ???? not swear words promise LOL .... First one says "but water" and the second one says "smart water". (maybe it didn't work as one word :).
Wahlberg and Diddy had me laughing so much... love those guys and when they get together it's just too good :)! To go beyond the fun though, I'm seriously excited about this AQUAhydrate water!! I haven't been able to drink anything bu*****er in over 4 yrs without getting sick, ever since I had a massive and sudden bleed out and flatlined following a bowel obstruction surgery. It shut down my organs, the pancreas in severe failure, after having had a 4 organ transplant of my stomach, pancreas, duodenum and small bowel 3 yrs earlier. As heartbreaking as it has been, the extreme thirst I get leaves literal tears of craving and all I can think of is how grateful I am that I can drink ice water without getting sick! Thank God I have that because I don't know what I would do if I had nothing! I have sworn by Smar****er... but with the meds they have me on my body struggles with severe dehydration that I can't satisfy as I'm still limited to the amount of water I can have. This AQUAhydrate is something I'm super excited to try! It may even become my staple diet as an aquatarian... LOL ... (and to think I was teased being a vegetarian and vegan all my life. haha)Do you think AQUAhydrate would be interested in sponsoring another fighter out here?! :) A Fighter for life... with strength, positivity and finding what happiness in each day I can to live one moment at a time. I can't wait to try and will be telling everyone about it if my thirst is quenched as I'm looking forward to seeing!
This is such a beautiful moment and example of the good things modern technology allows us to capture :). (I am so appalled by the level of bullying that kids can do now bc of smart phones and the internet and how little they think of the results of their actions as they are able to keep themselves so separated from their actions when on a screen. Doing things face to face takes a different level of cruelty and then can be left behind, but touching a button is such a weak thing to do and the results now stick around forever... breaks my heart) Anyway, my bad, wanting to stay with the positive! :) This moment would have been missed... but even more is a moment I saw last night online about the man (officer I think) who saw a homeless guy on the street in NY with no shoes... he didn't feel it was right at all and walked into the store nearby, purchased winter boots to keep his feet warm and safe, came out and put the shoes on the mans feet himself!!! A tourist ended up catching it on camera :). I don't have the link right now but can find it, though I'm sure you guys can find it even faster with your skills. (I'm still new to more than e-mail lol). I actually have a video my good friends came to help me film about my parents before Thanksgiving, but I had to learn how to put it together and now have to figure out how to send it to you! haha... I hope it finds it's way and most of all hope you get to see it amongst the many that you get. I at least hope everyone gets a chance to see the beauty of the police officer and the shoes and it helps to show how everyone can help with a small action every day to make this world a better place. There is enough for everyone to be ok if we choose to give, share and help each other!!!!
