Ugh. LOOKING FORWARD. Not look forward. @@
My daughter's an extra in A.C.O.D.! I can't wait to see the movie and I'm look forward to seeing Jessica Alba on Ellen!
I just watched the homeless to Howard story and it made me cry. My three children and I are going to be homeless any day now. James Ward's advice, saying it's okay to ask for help and that it's not something to be embarrassed about, couldn't have come at a more perfect time. I've been asking for help. Hearing "We don't have the funds to help..." or "We don't have room..." or (the worst) silence is very disheartening.
Ellen's advice "Don't give up!" just brought me to tears. While I don't plan on giving up, it can be quite difficult knowing exactly what to do.
Though I can't afford cable, I watch videos of Ellen on ellentv.com every day. I've been looking forward to seeing clips from the new season. Alas, I won't have internet soon, either, as I'm going to be homeless in 6 days unless a miracle occurs.
My husband broke my daughter's arm with a bat earlier this year and I turned him in to the police. I've applied for dozens upon dozens of jobs, yet I haven't had any luck.
I don't want you to think I'm wallowing in self pity, though. I'm convinced something has to work out. It always does. Even if I have to resort to staying at homeless shelters with my children we'll survive. I'll still try to pick up a wi-fi signal to watch the videos, as Ellen gives me hope.
Though the world hasn't always been kind to me, I continue to be kind to the world, whether it be volunteering with local agencies that help women, or just helping an injured animal laying in the road. I want my children to know that though life isn't always fair, you can't give up on living.
I'm excited to see Halle Berry is going to be on the show. I have contacted the show recently, sharing my own personal story (regarding domestic violence). I would love to have an opportunity to meet her, as she is an outspoken activist against violence towards women and children. She's done great work at a chairperson of the Janesse Center. Please, please contact me! It would be greatly appreciated!
