About Me I forget my twitter info. Too many facts in my world to remember everything! I have 2 beautiful daughters, Phaelan 21, and a celtic harpist. Bevan 16 on Dec.27, both girls are miracles given my 26 years cancer free status. Yup beat the stuffing out of stage 3b Hodgekin's Disease! Died, came back, through the tunnel n all!...Reached my personal best this past fall. I am on Terry Fox's Team as a cancer survivor and spoke at 3 schools this past year! I am a life long volunteer and do my best help raise the village of children around me. I am a crazy cat lady but I look at it like this, if I could live on a farm, I'd have a lot more that cats! I was that grubby child bringing all the broken winged birds and stray dogs home to love and nurse back to health. My motto is "Live in peace and peace will live within you"...if THAT doesn't work, "walk softly and carry a REALLY big stick!" Laugh often, love hard, and go big or go home....lol

You Write, Ellen Responds!

Hey Ellen, Honestly, I have written to you before trying to get my 15 almost 16 yr old daughter on your show, I frankly don't have the energy to do anything but comment now. Bevan will be 16 Dec. 27 th this year and has had some pretty big challenges since last year. A couple surgeries and alot of missed school, she's in grade 10 now. I'm sure you hear this all the time, but she loves your show, your funny, ha, ha, and that you are such a huge humanitarian. But, I think her biggest challenge is yet to come.... I'm a single parent, 26 yr cancer survivor ( another story for another time). Doctors once said I would never have kids and low and behold, I had 2! I'm now 46 and recently went to a specialist to follow up on testing I had (blood work, ultrasound, and a MRI done) (I'm NOT a crack pot messing with you!). I didn't receive very good news, Ellen, if you do indeed read these.... I'm not comfortable sharing all the details in this forum obviously, hello!.... just suffice it to say, I have the potential to bleed out if upset or stressed out, at any given moment... Which is ridiculous, right? Stress is a single parents first, middle and last name when raising kids! I don't know if the specialist was using scare tactics! I AM following up with my doctor tomorrow, but geez! The visualization she gave me was not good! I did not give my girls (21 and almost 16) the visual the doctor gave me, but I think my friend who came to the appointment with me will ever seem me it the same light again! Poor girl, I think she was traumatized! Sorry if it's too much info.... My whole point in contacting/commenting you was to make my daughter's Christmas/birthday a little brighter given our recent news we're on Skype, Facebook, we watch the show everyday...for the giggles, and ha, ha! I don't know, I'm just hoping for some kind of a lift for my daughter. Not looking for anything but a shout out or a hello to Bevan Flamand in the Okanagan, BC! Thanks for being who you are, Ellen, you rock it well! Live in peace and peace will live within you~ Namaste' Leslie
