Valerie Simmons from Burkeville, Tx. Her 3 year old daughter Carli has cancer, and through it all they have remained positive. Her entire family dressed up and distributed candy at Texas Children's Hospital for Halloween, they have served Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner to other families on their floor. I do not personally know them, but they are from the same area as I am. They cannot bring Carli home until renovations are made to their home. They have recently been featured under a news story "it takes a village" on kbmt 12 news.
