About Me I'm 52, single mother of 3 grown children, 2 in college, 1 is 24 and is a special needs child. I sang in a Vocal Jazz Group for 10 years and loved that. I work at a Coney as a server and TGI Fridays wherever they need me in the house. I work hard, like to stay home and watch movies on my time off. I love it when my kids come home and we get to hang out together. They are so great. I have been divorced for 4 years after a 27 year marriage and times have been tough for me since. Financially, I struggle because I didn't have a degree and it's hard getting back in the workforce after being a stay at home Mom for so many years, but I couldn't be happier. I left a beautiful home and money for a simple life with peace and happiness. I have a wonderful man in my life now that treats me like gold. Can't put a price on that. I love working and seeing people everyday and trying to bring them a positive attitude. I've had my issues with health, but am doing great now. I have a great sense of humor and love to make people laugh. I am blessed.

By the way Ellen, I was also raised Christian Science. Don't practice it anymore, but will always appreciate it. Love you, Gwen

My comment today is about your opening monologue. I was a little disappointed. When talking about Lance Armstrong, who myself have never followed much, but have known about him, I was waiting for you to say something positive about the situation. Instead you judged him for lying for 10 years. That isn't who you are. I understand that you want to make sure his charities are not forgotten because of this. But remember, he is a human being and we all make mistakes. Stay who I know you are. You lift people up, you don't tear anyone down. Please don't go with the flow of the beast out there, which you know well of. Be steadfast and beautiful deep down like I have seen you be as long as I have watched you. Love you...you have helped me more than you know. Much Love, Gwen

Ellen, I love your schtick about the end of the world. If it happens, I'm ready to go down with the ship, aren't you? I've lived 52 years and I get to go with a lot of people at the same time right? Love Bethany Frankel and her cheap ideas for gifts, last year we did gag gifts because we couldn't afford anything decent and my kids said it was one of the best Christmas's ever because all we did was laugh. We have no money, my fiance just had a seizure (has bad epilepsy) and totaled his truck, but he's alive and no one else was hurt. I had a rough day yesterday, but I watched your show today and what a gift you have for picking up spirits. One of my daughter's is home from college and went to work for me today so I could take care of business. Cleaned my house, decorated, brought us dinner...I am blessed with great children. By the way, I was also raised Christian Science. There are no members left but I still believe it's the best religion out there. :)

You have helped me through very tough times just by watching you and being enlightened by your positive attitude and giving nature. I'm so glad you are in this world the same time as myself. I would like to fix my van but can't because I live check to check and it needs a lot of work. It has a lift in it for my 24 year old daughter that is in a wheelchair. It is too dangerous to drive her around in now, but if I donate it to somewhere maybe they can fix the brakes and exhaust and make it workable for someone else who needs one as my Ex Husband and I have figured out another way to transport her. Problem is, I would no longer have a car to get to work with. It is a 1999 Ford Econoline van, just needs some work that I can't pay for. So, there is a place that could fix it but it needs $3,000.00 work. I'm working 2 jobs at minimum wage, just moved to lower my bills, trying so hard and you inspire me to be kind to everyone everyday. I tape your show so I can watch it after work at night. Last year I did gag gifts for my kids because couldn't afford decent presents and I swear it was the best Christmas ever! We laughed all day...they didn't care about nice gifts, it was the laughter. They said it was their best Christmas that they could remember in a long time. Thank you for your inspiration and kindness. Gwen
