My friends father and their disabled son lost their home in the Hurricane. His house had three feet of water in it and they are in desperate shape. FEMA can only do so much.
They were staying in a hotel when the storm hit, cause the Dad feared the worst and he needed to be able to get out and have his aids get in and out if they were stuck. But since they couldn't afford to stay in a hotel, they all moved to a rental house.
Steven gets around the clock care as he has a brain injury and is now wheel chair bound. I say "now" because they are determined for him to one day walk again. They pay out of pocket for all his therapies, and that has not been easy for them as well, and now they fear they won't be able to afford his therapies and rebuild their home.
If anyone can help, I know you can.
Thanks so much.Debra
