Hi Ellen, I sent you a gift either last year or the year before. It was a beautiful scrapbook album I made out of chipboard with pictures of you and Portia throughout. I'm wondering now if you ever receive it or if someone else took it upon themselves to keep it since I've never heard anything and I've seen you acknowledge many of your gifts on the show in one manner or another as you are doing today. But not to worry, I love you anyway, and have been a huge fan since you first started your show. I'm watching it right now. I record it every day so as not to take the chance of missing it. Have a wonderful day Ellen
I had a bad feeling that you might have been sick. I sure hope it's nothing too serious. I've missed watching you this past week. You keep my sanity in tack during these rough times. Get lots of rest so that you're back to your old self again.
I noticed that Tuesday and Wednesdays shows were both reruns. Is Ellen ok or is she busy packing for Australia.
First we lost our job three years ago, but this summer, I lost everything else. We managed to sell the house moments before going into forecloser. My husband and I have separated and I've been taking care of my daughter and four dogs on what is left of my portion of the money from the sale of our house. We are now living in a small duplex but the money has run out and we will be needing to find a shelter soon. I have not been able to find a job since moving home. My children are older and totally understand that they will be going through another year without gifts. My parents, brothers and sisters also understand that I cannot partake in the gift giveaway games. And as for the dogs, well they are my daily gift. If asked what I want most in life, it would be a job so that I don't lose our happy little home but since the job is up to me to find, I would love the help to be able to do something for my parents. They are both in their mid 80's, and no matter what happens in our lives, they are always there for their children. My parents raised five children mostly on army pay. Now that is really stretching a buck. My father put in 21 years of service to his country while my mom stayed home to take care of us. They are so derserving of a little something for what they did without, to make sure we were taken care of. I don't ever remember being in need of anything as a child. That's how good they were at raising us. If we needed something, we didn't realize it because they made everything out to look just fine. I had hoped that by the time I raised my children I would have the money to do something nice for them but instead, they're back to helping me out. I've said many prayers in the last three years and trust me, I've wrote you so many times lately that I've become a stalker, but I won't give up. I truly believe God has a plan for me and I probably have a lot more suffering to go through before it all falls in place but my parents are older and I would love to be able to do something for them. I feel blessed for every year we continue to have with them. They are the ultimate parents and the ultimate couple who have been together for 60 years now. You can't ask for more than that.
Thank you Ellen. You help me keep my sanity one hour of every day. All my fears just disappear while watching you. You give us the greatest gift each day with your laughter, your humor and giving nature. Thank you so much for that.
