I have never left a comment before on any site having to do with media, but I was just so blown away when I watched Wendy Williams on Ellen that I wanted to put in my two cents and voice my opinion.

Okay, how could anyone watch Wendy Williams on Ellen and NOT see how awkward it was? (rewatch it)

Wendy in my opinion handled herself very well, and kept the conversations moving along smiling and laughing despite the weird looks, & rude little remarks that were masked in the for of sarcastic "jokes" from Ellen.

It was blatantly obvious Ellen was not at all impressed, & did not want Wendy to be a guest on her show.
Ellen seemed VERY put off, & just in general did not appear to like Wendy at all.

I love both Ellen and Wendy, I think they are both intelligent, and engaging.
I felt uncomfortable watching the two of them interact.

I definitely saw a different side of Ellen for the first time.

As far as the gifts they exchanged, you do realize it's all put on and done by the producers of the show, they figure out what each guest is into at the moment (having a baby, getting married, taking up knitting) and set it all up.
Yeah its cute and all but Ellen didn't actually provide the gift, her employees do it all, and that same goes for the guest. It's all for show.

By far the most awkward segment I have seen in a long time. It wasn't an attractive side to Ellen at all. I have never seen her act like that with other guests.
I didn't think Ellen seemed what I would call "uncomfortable" (to me) by Wendy, she seemed more on the side of not liking Wendy in general, and in every way.

What is the beef (no pun intended) Ellen & Wendy?

It was blatantly obvious Ellen was not at all impressed, & does not care for her.

I didn't think Ellen seemed what I would call "uncomfortable" (to me) or "intimidated" by Wendy, I saw just straight up DISLIKE of Wendy Williams, and Ellen made that obvious.
