Dear Ellen My mom and I were watching your show on last week. You mentioned something about, If you got talent. I have 17 year old twin boys and it has been a struggle raising them as a single mother. I never thought I would have had any kids and end up with twins I was shocked. Even though my boys are twins they are very different in their own way, one is dependant and the other is independant. One of my kids work at Pizza Hut and the other one works at Premier Bowling in Gonzales La. I'm a Security Guard at Shell CHemical in Gonzales, beleive it or not I'm at work writing you. My mother has moved from Texas after she retired in order to help out until my boys graduate from East Ascension High School. On July 3,2012 my oldest twin broke his left tibia playing in a 707 football scrimmage. It was a very hard time in my house because this is the twin that is very indepedant. I remember having to spend the night in the hospital and send the youngest twin home to get some rest, and when he got home he had trouble unlocking the door he called me and asked how do you unlock the door? I said Demarcus just turn the key. I went on to tell him we have to stop relying on Jermarcus starting today because we have to help him now. Because of Jermarcus injury he feels he has no hope of ever becoming a Professional NFL Player. On January 29,2012 he will be getting the rod and screws removed. I often time tell him you are very smart and you can choose another Career. It's hard to try and tell your child to look forward to doing something else in life, if this was their dream as a child. I can't change the fact that one of my sons was injured it's a part of life. But Demarcus has always had dreams of becoming an Artist even as a parent I wanted what I thought was best. Demarcus played the saxphone for four years and held second seat and marched in the marching band. I begged him to continue so he pleaded with me to let him make his own decision. He said Mom, I like playing but my heart is in drawing, I'm able to express myself. So this year he chose art for his elective. So I feel I owe my son the oppurtunity to express one of his talents that he enjoys so could you please e-mail the website and deadline to enter into the contest.I would like to give one if not both of my twins their dreams right at their feet. But I've realize I can't but, what I could do for them to help them be successful I will give my all. Thank You
