Ellen! I MUST meet Hélène Campbell! She is my hero and beyond inspirational. I wept when I first saw her and more so when she danced on your show triumphantly! I was at home jumping for joy! You see, Ellen, I am a 4-time living-related organ recipient. My 4 kidney transplants are from family members who are angels on earth! I became ill at 11 years of age and like Hélène, was sick into my 20s and beyond. I am 42 today, super alive and the healthiest I have ever been! My 4 donors, including my 79-year-old Dad are doing great!

Like Hélène, my mother suffered with and ultimately passed from complications of lung disease and breast cancer treatment, which left her debilitated and childlike at the end. She did not live long enough to even qualify for a transplant. Illness is an ugly intruder, but words like resilience, recovery, remission and rebound shut the door in its face and create super humans! I miss my mom dearly, but she left me her strength and I carry it proudly!

I admire Hélène! As a teenager I had once hoped to do something similar to what she is doing with her organization. A series of unfortunate, consecutive life events toppled my dreams. But I feel like I’m seeing a replay of my wishes through Hélène. Her infectious spirit jumped at me through your show. And only someone who truly knows the depths of organ failure and recovery can understand the blinding height of her joy. I’m a devout member of the church of Faith and Science; the beautiful union that produces people like Hélène and me and countless others. We are miracles! Please, please, please, Ellen. If I never meet her, then tell her our shared road is different from healthy people, but no less covered in dazzling yellow bricks beyond the rainbow! I love her!!

Here’s a brief summary about me:

Is Ellen going to talk about the Ellen and Portia Valentine's Day Package at The Curtis Hotel in Denver. They provided us wigs (awful wigs)and took pictures to send to her. I looked like George Washington (instead of Portia) with the wig they gave me and my husband looked like Susan Boyle (trying to look like Ellen) We had a great time and hope she likes the pictures.

Hi Ellen,
I love you and your show. I truly wish you would attempt to do a variety show in prime time similar to Carol Burnett's...if anyone could pull it off it's you. I miss that type of comedy and variety and really wish you would consider attempting it.
Anyways I have an old knock, knock joke which was part of the Mary Tyler Moore show and I never forgot it. Ted Baxter supposedly made it up and you may remember, it goes like this: "Knock, Knock", "Who's There?" "Anna Marie Albergetti", "Anna Marie Albergetti Who?" (Answer and you sing----- "Anna Marie Albergetti in a taxi honey, better pick me up around half past eight, don't be late, I want to be there when the band starts playing........." Sorry, I can't help myself!

Hi Ellen,

I've just watched a replay of your meeting with Canadian Helene Campbell. WOW !!!! This beautiful and strong young lady is such an inspiration. I come from the Ottawa region and been following her journey since the beginning, even though we've never met, but for you to give her something to live for in promising to meet her was a real blessing. Thank you for your generosity.
Luv U always,

Ellen Thank you so much for your show today with the young lady you had on that had had a double lung transplant. My nephew who is only 28yrs old needs a double lung and a kidney transplant. He has only 20% of his lungs right now. He has been turned away from our big hospital here in Iowa and is waiting to find out if another hospital will take him. He has been trying to stay working because of the insurance he has there but if he has to go somewhere else for the transplant he could loose his job and his insurance. It is a waiting game right now but my question for you is where did the young lady have her transplant done? She was such a delight to see and gave us so much hope to see someone who has gone thru such a major journey and come out so full of life. Pray for our Kyle and maybe he will get the same miracle your young lady received. Ellen that was so cute how you multi-tasked today. It is true how we multi-task while watching TV since I never get to sit down during the day. Then if I even lean on the counter to watch a certain segment, our cat bites me in the back of my shin to say - 'get moving *****'. It is like my husband got it trained to keep me busy all day. I am not kidding.

I also saw how Snooki called Portia 'your girlfriend' instead of your wife. What's up with that? That is like calling her Nooki instead of Snooki - it isn't right. If they claim to know and follow you, they all should know you are "married". I was wondering why you didn't correct her. I tried through the TV. That was an adorable gift for her baby, but you always have the most perfect gifts for your guests.

Thanks for making me laugh. I sure needed it since everything is breaking around here. Our water system broke, first the carbon tank, then the chlorinator, and then the hot water tank. Then our refrigerator heat warning came on and our dishwasher has been broken for months, but I have been doing them by hand, so as you can see, I sure need your show to brighten my day! Thank you.

I love everything about your show, except for the hidden camera videos with Dennis Quaid or your staff member Amy. I get so uncomfortable with the humiliation of the unknowing participant. Really, I some times have to turn you off until that segment is over.
