She & Him

What do you get when you cross a country-folk artist with a familiar face on television? A little bit of She and a little bit of Him! She & Him, featuring M. Ward and actress/singer/songwriter Zooey Deschanel, struck their first chord on the soundtrack for the 2007 film “The Go-Getter.” This was the spark that shifted their musical collaboration into gear. They later recorded a cover of Richard & Linda Thompson’s “When I Get to the Border,” as well as some of Zooey’s not-so-secret-anymore original songs! Drawing inspiration from vintage pop bands, She & Him released their first album entitled "Volume One" in March 2008.

With some critics calling Volume One the best album of the year, the duo set out on a summer-long tour while working on their second album. They released "Volume Two" in March 2010 and watched it rise to the Billboard Top Ten during its first week. She & Him took a different turn in 2011, finding inspiration from the likes of the Carpenters and The Beach Boys, Deschanel and Ward introduced "A Very She & Him Christmas" in October.

The pair returned to making their breezy pop in May of 2013 with "Volume 3." Their newest album, “Classics,” featuring timeless songs, is set to hit shelves in the fall of 2014.
