Rihanna

She's the #1 person on Facebook, has over 27 million Twitter followers, has sold over 37 million albums, and is the top-digital artist of all-time. Rihanna is one of the biggest pop superstars in the world!

Her raw talent and ability to create hit after hit has cemented her place at the top of industry -- but as a child, Rihanna could never have imagined what was to come.

Rihanna was born in the small town of St. Michael, Barbados. Her striking beauty and amazing singing won her attention in her hometown, but it wasn't until she was introduced to an American man on vacation that things took off. It was top music producer Evan Rogers. After watching her perform, he instantly knew that she could be a huge star. He brought Rihanna to the US and for over a year they worked on a demo. Eventually, it made its way to Jay-Z, who invited her to audition. He signed her to a record deal with Def Jam on the spot.

In 2005, her first single, "Pon de Replay," was released -- and it exploded. It made its way up the Billboard Hot 100 charts, even unseating Mariah Carey's hit, "We Belong Together." It managed to make it to the top 10 in fifteen countries! She immediately began work on a new album, releasing the even more successful album "A Girl Like Me" just a year later. The hit single "S.O.S." made it all the way to number one.

In 2007, she released "Good Girl Gone Bad" to unbelievable success, with #1 smash hits including "Umbrella" and "Disturbia."

Now she has 23 Hot 100 Top 10 singles, and 18 #1 singles on the Billboard Dance Club song charts. She's won 6 Grammy awards, 7 Billboard Music Awards, has over 2.9 billion views on YouTube and it just keeps going. Rihanna is unstoppable!
