All eyes in the country music world are on Miranda Lambert. In just a few short years, she has already achieved huge success -- and proven that there is a lot more to come. She is only the third female country singer in history to have three records debut at #1 on the Billboard Country Chart.
As a child, Lambert first discovered her love for country music at a Garth Brooks concert when she was 9. Her father, who was also a musician, helped her learn to sing, write and play guitar. At 16 she appeared on the Johnny High Country Music Review, which helped launch Leann Rimes. Soon after, she fronted the band at the Reo Palm Isle Ballroom.
In 2003, Lambert made it to the reality show "Nashville Star," finishing in third place. Following the show, she signed with Epic Records and released her debut album "Kerosene" in 2005. It debuted at number one, was certified platinum, and earned her a Grammy nomination. She followed it up with "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" in 2007, which also found success.
Her latest album, "Revolution," was released in 2009 and recently won Album of the Year at both the Country Music Awards and the Academy of Country Music Awards. The awards aren't the only great thing happening in her life -- she also became engaged to Blake Shelton!
