The band was formed in Los Angeles in 2008 by Michael Fitzparick. They got their big break in November of 2009 when they opened eight shows for Maroon 5. According to Fitzpatrick, “Adam Levine from Maroon 5 was in New York to get a tattoo, and his favorite tattoo artist had downloaded the record after hearing us on the radio. He told Adam, 'You gotta hear this band.' A week and a half later, we're opening for Maroon 5 on their college tour.”
Their debut album, "Pickin’ Up the Pieces," peaked at #140 on the Billboard 200 and at #18 on the Independent Albums Chart. Their single, “Out of My League,” from their most recent album, "More Than Just a Dream," reached #1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs Chart. They performed that song on The Ellen Show in October 2013.
