Fitz & The Tantrums
Formed in 2008 by Michael Fitzpatrick, Fitz & The Tantrums got their big break in November 2009 when they opened eight shows for Maroon 5. According to Fitzpatrick, “Adam Levine from Maroon 5 was in New York to get a tattoo, and his favorite tattoo artist had downloaded the record after hearing us on the radio. He told Adam, 'You gotta hear this band.' A week and a half later, we're opening for Maroon 5 on their college tour.”

Their debut album, "Pickin’ Up the Pieces," was released in 2010 and was followed up with the LP "More Than Just a Dream," featuring the Billboard Alternative chart-topping single, “Out of My League.” Their new self-titled album is expected in June 2016, and they returned to Ellen in April to perform the lead single, “HandClap.” They are also following up that album with their 2016 Get Right Back Summer Tour.
