Demi Lovato has gone from dancing on “Barney and Friends” to platinum-selling recording artist. After her time on “Barney,” Lovato caught the acting bug and appeared on various television shows until she landed the lead role in Disney Channel’s original movie “Camp Rock.” It was then announced that she signed a recording contract with Hollywood Records. In September 2008, production began on Lovato’s own TV series, “Sonny with a Chance.” The program was a hit!
Flash forward — Demi released her self-titled fourth studio album in May 2013, which hit #3 on the Billboard 200 chart. She performed “Neon Lights” on “The Ellen Show” in October 2013. Demi’s cover of the “Frozen” hit song “Let It Go” landed in the Top 40. Demi also released a best-selling book, “Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year.” In 2014, Demi had a recurring role on the hit show “Glee,” and headlined two world tours.
In July 2015, Demi released “Cool for the Summer,” the lead single for her fifth studio album, “Confident.” Demi’s latest album was released in late 2015, followed by tour dates for 2016. Her longtime friend and fellow former Disney star Nick Jonas will hit the road with her for “Future Now: The Tour.”
