Most of us can’t.

When the waves are big, there’s nowhere that Kama the pig would rather be than on the beach, hanging ten and dipping his nose in the sand.

When he was just a baby in Oahu, Kama met his owner Kai Holt, and got his first taste of the water… somewhat accidentally.

“He fell in the pool one day and started swimming,” Kai says in a YouTube video. “I was like ‘Oh, he can swim. I guarantee he can surf.’ He followed me into the water, jumped onto the board, I paddled out, he caught his first wave… everybody was tripping.”

Now, Kama is a local celebrity on the beaches of Hawaii, and according to Kai, he knows what he’s doing. The pig has mastered the moves and is always down for a challenge.

“His favorite waves are three to four feet, Hawaiian-style,” Kai comments, adding that anything less and Kama “gets real bored.”

When he’s not on a board, you can catch Kama swimming…
