For $65, you and your family could be doing this all summer long...

Derek Salamanca, a professional dog trainer and altogether awesome and inventive guy in Petersburgh, NY, built this 300-foot water slide for his family in the backyard of his mom’s house, complete with jumps, wall rides and a drop-off into a river. The project took 40 hours, and is basically the Incredible Hulk of slip n’ slides.

“This was so fun, it was the most fun I’ve had all summer,” Salamanca says in the video. “It took a lot of work, but you reap what you sow.”

If you’re interested in building one, Salamanca offers a few instructions following his demo. Basically, all you need is a roll of plastic, pallets, plywood, rigs, shovels, screws, lots of cardboard, a hose, friends, and absolutely no fear.

You might also want a helmet!
