Dear Ellen,
As a redhead who is mother to a redhead, I was dismayed to see you, of all people, putting redheads at the bottom of the list for priority seating on American Airlines. My daughter has been trying to embrace her redhead identity, to "come out," if you will, by calling herself the "Ginja Ninja," but being put at the back of the line by her hero, Ellen DeGeneres, has been yet another blow against Redhead Equality. I admire you enormously and appreciate your strong stand on gender equality. Since you are in a gender minority yourself, I believe you will understand the difficulty of being in a hair color minority, namely redheads. Ha, ha. You can easily rectify this unfortunate misstep by inviting my daughter, an excellent singer and actor in New York City, to sing on your show. My friends, my daughter, and I are die-hard fans of your show and were thrilled to see you win the Mark Twain prize. Wasn't Mark Twain a redhead? Note my daughter's showcase number at

Singling out people based on their appearance is not cool. You wouldn't have said Asians last or African-Americans last. Why discriminate against redheads?
