Message from Ellen
I hope you’re having a great 3-day weekend! I spent most of it in the garden getting my hands dirty… and my pants dirty, and my shoes dirty and my hair dirty. Gardening is a lot dirtier than I thought.
First, let me tell you who’s here this week -- Felonious Gru! That’s right! The star of the hilarious new sequel, “Despicable Me 2,” is here in person. I’m looking forward to meeting him and finding out how he feels about our mutual friend, Steve Carell.
Wanda Sykes is here! She’s one of the funniest people I’ve ever met, and I’ve met a lot of funny people. She always has a funny story to tell me, and I can’t wait to hear her next one.
One of my favorite shows, “So you Think You Can Dance?” is back, and host Cat Deeley is here with some of the “SYTYCD” All-Stars! I hope at this point they all know they really can dance.
Speaking of dancing, the winner of the mirror ball trophy, my friend Kellie Pickler is here! I voted for her all season long on “Dancing with the Stars,” so I imagine she’s here to thank me.
Plus, Howie Mandel is here! Whether he’s hosting a game show or telling me a crazy story about his life, he’s always hilarious. Because of him, every time I open a suitcase I’m disappointed if it’s not filled with money.
The man behind someone of the funniest movies -- and one of the funniest women -- Tyler Perry is dropping by to tell me about his not one, but two new TV shows, as well as his character, Madea. He works harder than almost anyone in Hollywood and he often does it in a wig and heels.
I’m also going to meet a 5-year-old piano prodigy who is as adorable as he is talented. If you knew how talented he is, or how adorable he is, you’d be very impressed.
All that, and I’ve got Mike O’Malley, magician Justin Flom, Dave Franco, and a performance by OneRepublic!
This week is so big, it’s Ludacris. Seriously. Ludacris is going to be here, too.
