Adoptable Pets of the Week

Lady
Sweet, unassuming Lady longs to again be in a home of her own. She was obviously once part of a family, as Lady has great manners. Lady, an eight year old Akita/Shepherd mix, walks well on a leash and gets along with most other dogs. Once she gets to know you, Lady really blossoms. Give Lady a chance and you’ll be rewarded with a true best friend.

Mr. Big
What a charmer! This handsome fella likes to chat, offering an entertaining world view in meows and squeaks. Mr. Big, who is seven years young, also likes to play with toys and adores a good scratch behind the ears. While he’s cat-tolerant, Mr. Big would prefer to be your one and only so he can shower you with love. Adopt Mr. Big and you’ll have the coolest cat around.

Chief
I'll be your loyal companion! This very friendly, tail-wagging boy would love to be your walking or hiking buddy. Chief is a gentle dog who walks nicely beside you without pulling on the leash. He loves to be petted, and gets along well with other dogs, too. Before coming to Best Friends, he was found as a stray in Colorado. Born in 2005, he's in good health. Chief is a great dog who is just looking for a good home. Could he be your new best friend?

Nenet
It's easy to see why Nenet was named after an Egyptian goddess. Sleek and elegant, she has silky black fur with a white diamond on her chest and white tummy. Nenet is a sweet girl who gets along great with other cats. Despite a broken leg that wasn't treated in time, she walks, runs and leaps without discomfort. Born in 2009, Nenet likes to play and enjoys petting and sunbathing. Most of all, she loves human attention and hopes to find a home with somebody who will give her lots and lots of affection. If this little black beauty would make your home happier, Nenet can't wait to be your new best friend!

Dogs are amazing therapy. My daughter Brianna who is non mobile with a Mitochondrial disease loves her dogs. They are very in tune to when she has a seizure or stops breathing when the ventilator starts alarming. Dogs are very loving.

If I didn't have 3 dogs, I would adopt the shepherd. Love dogs.
