I’m so excited to have the weekend to catch up on my favorite shows! There were so many big finales all week. I didn’t want to hear any spoiler alerts, so I did what any normal person would do -- I made the entire office take a vow of silence.

Here’s something I can’t be silent about -- my show this week! One of my closest friends is here to help me cohost: Jennifer Aniston. She’s the best person to talk to when it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month, or even your year.

And here’s the most exciting part… Portia de Rossi is the guest that day! She’s in the incredible new season of “Arrested Development”. I’m a huge fan of hers. That’s why I married her.

Also this week, I’m choosing the winner of the “Ellen, Here’s My Talent” contest! There is so much incredible talent out there. Mostly I got people who can make weird noises with their mouths, but still, so much talent.

Amanda Seyfried is here to tell me about being on the cover of “Allure”. I actually found a cover of something else she was on from years ago, and I can’t wait to show it to her.

And two of my favorite funny men, Kevin Nealon and Steve Harvey, are both here this week! I never realized how much they have in common. They both make me laugh every time I see them, and they both owe me over $6,000 in gambling debts.

And the beautiful Hayden Panetierre is here from the sexy show “Nashville”. Hayden likes to tell me things about her love life, so get ready for who knows what.

I also have amazing musical guests this week! The incredible Ed Sheeran is giving a concert extraordinaire (that’s French for extra-cool), Michael Bolton is performing a classic hit, and one of my favorite bands, Grizzly Bear, is here for the very first time!

I can’t wait. I really can’t. I’m going to drive over to the studio now.

i have been freelancing for friends of mine who have their own agencies.
And that's about it for the last 10 years - and i'm getting awfully tan by the lake.
It's time to get back to work.

VP National Creative Director Austin Knight Chicago 1995-2000
Manage the staff (4 hubs, 47 people), operations ($60... million) and product
(see awards) for the agency on a national level. This includes supervising
production for the agency’s nine offices; leading the Chicago-based national
creative team in developing and executing integrated marketing and employer
branding strategies; and playing an integral role in introducing, implementing,
and managing the agency’s Account Planning function. Well, somebody had to do it.

West Coast Creative Director Austin Knight San Francisco 1993-1995
The powers that be were happy enough with my ACD work to promote
and transfer me to the west coast. While there, I restructured staff, processes
and procedures to raise the bar a few notches... enough to get me promoted
again and moved home.

Associate Creative Director Austin Knight Chicago 1990-1993
Got thrown into an agency management role and discovered I was good at it.
Learned how to get the best from the talent. And how to get what I wanted
from management.

Art Director 1987-1990
Took my University of Wisconsin education and moved to Chicago
where I worked freelance for three years. It felt like twelve.

Awards
Chicago Show 1999 Finalist - Banner Advertising
Print Regional Design Annual 1997
New York Festivals 1995-1997 - seven Finalist Awards
Industry Awards (EMA) - 65 since 1995

Philosophy
Creative departments are like neighborhoods. The really interesting ones
are aesthetically-pleasing, have a strong sense of community and are fully
integrated. And of course, puppy dogs are welcome.

Hi Ellen Your show Wed May22 was the best ever. I loved it.However all your shows are great also. I hope I win $20,00 as my house really needs a lot of work & I turned 82 years old on May 17th. So I can only do so much. I am know washing clothes & I stand in water. I have sewer problems.I have a lot of work that needs to be done . But I don't have the money to have it done. I lost my husband in 1994 .I have never asked for help but you asked if any one needed house repairs & I do. ecchapman@ sbcglobal.net

i watch your show and really enjoy it and have for quite a while. But i get really frustrated when the talk is about ipads or iphones, because i really cant afford them or even a computer. even to email you i have to go to the library. but enough about me, i really love to watch when you have any armed forces family on and help them. my oldest son was in the air force for 20 years and i dont thank they get enough praise for the fantastic job that they do. barbara
