HI ELLEN, My name is Susanne and I know people always ask to come to your special shows, but I would really like to do something special for my beautiful daughter, she has been going through nursing school for ten yrs. and has now received her RN license. All the while she has been working for a small boy now for about 3yrs, doing home health care for him. He was 18 mos. when she first had him for her 1st case. Skyler is a backyard tragedy ,drowning victim. Jenny, my daughter, just loves her job, she has a wonderful family she works for. Skyler has made a lot of progress, he now has started attending a special school, and Jenny goes everyday with him. He knows when she walks in the room, a has the biggest smile on his precious little face. Ellen, her birthday is on Dec. 15th. Her and I have always wanted to attend your show during the holidays. As for myself, I drive a school bus for my special education babies...thank you Ellen, I hope that you can make this happen for us....God bless you.

Dear Ellen,

Love your show and watch every day. I think you are the kindest person I know. You have such a great aptitude and know how to make people fine he good in things in life and keep them laughing.

To explain in detail what has happened to our family, my husband was diagnosed with colon cancer in December, 2005. At that time he worked for Mercedes Homes in Charlotte, NC. He has been in the residential building business for over 30 years. He had his first surgery March, 2006. He became very ill post op and was put into ICU at which time his surgery came apart and he was back in the operating room. During this surgery, he ended up with a colostomy bag, a wound vac and finally ended up at home in a hospital bed with an at-home nurse, in addition to myself, for his care.

After 13 weeks of healing, the real estate market started to diffuse and he was subsequently laid off from Mercedes Homes. Since my husband was laid off and could not continue to work in the traditional sense, he continued in real estate development and had to invest in those ventures. He had to go back to the hospital every month for a barium enema to see if his bowels were still leaking and/or recovering from the surgery. At this point he was not able to physically work. In July he was operated on again at Presbyterian hospital to reconnect his colon, however, to no avail – his bowels were still leaking and he still came out of surgery with a colostomy bag. My husband was very ill through all of this.

We stayed current on our bills as long as we could by using our equity line of credit with Wachovia. This started our downhill spin. My husband ended up at Duke University Hospital in February of 2008 at the Cancer Research Institute for further testing and finally another surgery in March. As a result of all of my husband’s surgeries, he wound up with three hernias that were massive and as a result was referred to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. He had this surgery in July 2008 and this took many weeks to recover. My husband remains cancer free.

As if this wasn’t enough, eight days after he was home from the hospital, on his first venture away from home, we were hit head on in our car which was totaled and we all suffered injuries and were ambulanced to Lake Norman Regional Medical Center for
care. My son had broken teeth and a cracked jaw, I had a broken hand, and my husband’s staples came apart and he ended up back at Carolinas Medical Center for further treatment.

We never dreamed any of his could happen to our family. I am cleaning homes for 2 Moms & a Mop, working part-time a Nursing Home as a Certified Nursing Assistant, and working towards my Associate Degree of Nursing at Mitchell Community College in Statesville, NC and should graduate in May 2014 (I will be 56). My husband is feeling better can continues to try and find work where he can. We are trying very hard to get our lives back on a more normal route, and we so very much would like to stay in our home.

We finally lost our home to foreclosure in August 2013. My husband did find a job doing apartment renovations in May of 2013 but was laid off again in October 2013.
We have no money to buy our four boys Christmas gift this year.

Thanks for listening to a tired and worn out person.

Sincerely,

David L. & Kathy A. Gullick

Hi Ellen, I love you so funny when i need joy in my life i know i can count on you! i haven't been watching much TV lately with the struggle of trying to find out why I've been feeling bad, this feeling started may of 2012. in March of 2012 i decided to sign a lease 6043 new peachtree rd suite B Doraville GA,30344 to open my salon after taking maternity leave 2009. The place was perfect to the eye not knowingly that it was a silent killer. my employee's,children, and I have been suffering upper respiratory infection, skin fungus, shortness of breath, redness eyes, lung infection, etc. being the owner i suffered the most because i was there 12 hours a day are more.in Sept 2013 is when i finally discovery why i had been suffering with my health, the walls of my lungs were inflamed because of toxic mold found in my building .i had been extremely sick for months Sept, Oct,and Nov i wasn't able to work at all due to the illness and no one could perform any duties in this property. so i had to closed until the owner of the property find a place for use to move to. instead of her doing the rite thing she served my business with and eviction that was with the wrong address but had my business name on it. Hoping that i never receive it. luckily the neighbors told me that the paper was on their door so that i could answer it ,so i did the judge rule in the landlords favor because he consider it a maintenance issue! GA LAW !didn't give me a chance to even speak at all. i had the proof with me in court that this was a health hazard and that this wasn't even my business address.i didn't have an attorney at this time.i had to move out of the building by Nov 25 2013,with no compensation. so long story short i am now out of business have no money because i use my saving these last three months to take care of my 3 children ,i am a single parent their father is deceased .IJ kapplin company llc has tarnished my professional reputation, given me bad credit,i have over 30,000.00 doctor bills, given me bad health, and now i Have no JOB. i spoke with one attorney and he is reviewing my case. Ellen don't know what to do i feel like i was rape! my heart is broken in a million pieces.... i am a very talent person. i sing if my lungs aren't damage, very artistic, and love people. my kids great performers, all three of them. i would love to sure my world of talents with you. GOD has place several talents in me for a reason and season sincerely Tanya (Tapeka) Brown. contact info:404-343-9041 are 770-771-8167
