Dear Ellen,
My husband and I love you so much, you make our day. You are the sweetest kindest person I've ever seen. You make so many people HAPPY. And your always thinking about what you can do for the next person or family. We never miss a show. I have actually had a few dreams where we met and we ended up being really good friends. I was at every show. My granddaughter woke me up one morning and said Meme you were laughing out loud and I told her out of a deep sleep I was talking to Ellen. Hahahahahahahaha It was so real.... My husband and I are both on Social Security Disability and we are raising our 3 granddaugters. It would be such a blessing to get all 12 days.....

Dear Ellen, I am writing you hoping my family's hardship can be something that could be show worthy so no other family has to go thru what we did. And it all started on April 15, 2012 after church when my 11 year old son Seth was shot with a pellet gun by accident by his 14 year old sister Taylor was the one who pulled the trigger. He was sent to Richland Memorial here in Columbia,SC where they realized it was more serious and he had to be airlifted to Charlotte,NC to Carolina Medical Center the Levine Children's Hospital where he had to undergo open Heart surgery he came within a centimeter of loosing his life. Seth made miracle strides to getting better and after 6 days at the hospital he was released and back in church on Sunday. Me and my wife didn't leave his side . And when I returned to work and worked for two weeks on May 7,2012 they let me go due to missing too many days after 8 years of service and no issues of missing too many days prior to my son's surgery. And he did everything needed to be able to make it to the 6th grade and we were at his graduation and when returning home notice that our house was broken into and we had lost $4000.00 of our belongings gone forever. And 2 weeks ago one of our car's was reposed and not sure when they are coming for my wife's. And then just last week I found out from my doctor after having an MRI of the Cervical Spine where they found a herniated disc in my neck and will need to undergo a surgery and with all of my other medical problems with a bulged disc in my back and a pinched nerve in my right leg and tingling and burning in right arm and numbness of my right hand. My doctor ordered me to not to return to work and file for Medicaid and to go on Social Security Disability. And then I found out after December I will not be getting anymore unemployment and who would of thought at age 46 that I would be disabled and not able to support my family. And Christmas around the corner won't be no presents for my kids I am hoping for a miracle and all the medical bills and everything else falling behind and it all started from a pellet gun. I want our family's story to be a learning tool to all other family's with kids that no matter what size the gun it can change your life forever like it has ours and I don't want anyone else to have to go thru all the trials that my family is going thru and will have to overcome somehow. And all I do is wonder what I did so wrong for all of this to happen to my family. There was a group called ASK who did a story on my son Seth who overcome something that a large percentage of kids who had his type of injury don't make it and my son was able to be back on his feet so quickly after an open Heart surgery. Please see it in your heart that there is something here that could be show worthy. Thanks for listening to me and hope to hear from you soon. From: Craig Fahner -803-351-7914 and email: clfahner@bellsouth.net. I have a video on my son and a news paper and posters on his story. Then on December 12,2012 was my sons 17 birthday and he decided to surprise us and moved out without us knowing with his girlfriend and her parents because he said he was trying to save us money not taking in consideration that he is actually tearing our family apart more by doing this and has everyone very confused and very sadden on his decision to do this to our family. We beg and pleaded with him to come home every day and he is still is not coming home. I am having a very hard time trying to keep the family together and then this happens I am just not sure how much more we can handle. Please Help Us!!! I am Begging you to Help my Family. I cry from the time I wake up until the time I go to bed worrying about what's going to happen to my family and The only laughter I get is when me and my wife watch your show. I laugh and cry watching it but it's all the good you do. May God BlessYou!! Merry Christmas!!

Ellen, you are one very generous woman. I've been watching your show for many years and I am always envious of all the people who are so lucky to be part of your audience. Especially at Christmas time. I wonder if you ever realize how many people are affected by your kindness. Have a Merry Christmas, and pray for a safer New Year.

P.S. I see that no one from Maine was won yet, I'd love to be the first.

I want to thank you Ellen for being You! You are truly a special person. Its been a rough couple of years with my husband being unemployed but we have gotten by. You are the highlight at the end of my work day. I know no matter how rough of a day it has been, that you will be there to start our evening off to a great start. I can't thank you enough for helping to pull our family thru this with some humor and happy tears.
