You are an amazing roll model for young women and the next generation in general.
You have an amazing work ethic, you are honest about who you are with no apologies if you didn't fit a mold in a time when it wasn't easy and you succeeded! The biggest reason I am such a fan is your altruism. I love to give, to make people happy and to try to make the world a little better each day then when it was when I woke up. I often feel like I can't do enough, but knowing that people like you are there to give and do all that you do makes up for it.

I have been praying for a way to show my best friend and her husband (who has just made the decision to no longer seek treatment for his terminal cancer) how much they are loved and appreciated. They are suffering in ways that break my heart and if I could possibly help ease their pain, I would be beyond grateful. Despite having financial, physical and family struggles beyond words, they have always been there for so many others and they have the most sharing spirits of anyone I know. Although I am the one who entered my information in your contest, my intention would be to immediately pay it forward to surprise this loving couple. Kindly say a prayer for them even if this entry goes no further. Thank you for spreading some good news in this seemingly cruel world.

Hi Ellen, Talk about awkward - I was watching your show today and could not stop laughing when you made a cold call to one of your viewers. She says she loves watching your show and yet her mom says she was watching Dr. Phil, and not to disturb her when watching her favorite show. On your entry form states must be 18 years to enter. Well if I was 18 and my mom was hollering out at me like that (well clearly she was not 18 years old) Boy did she and her mom mess up! You had great give away's! Love the laptop! I think she should have to forfeit her prize’s over to me... Thank you for giving us the gifts of laughter, joy and reminding people around the world just how important it is to look out for each other and to be positive in this life. The show enourages me to continue to pay it forward!!!!! It seems that the world could benefit from having more shows like yours on network television.

I've been watching Ellen for a few years. I DVR for the week and spend my Saturday's watching. I lost my husband on 11/8 of this year and we used spend Saturday watching together. He died unexpectedly of a heart attack. His kidneys were failing and we knew he was headed towards dialysis or a transplant, neither path being something we'd want but his death at 42 came as a shock. He lost his leg to diabetes last April 2011 and has not had an easy time of it this past year and a half. I am proud to say I was his wife. He could have taken the easy road and gone on disability but he worked up to the day he died...literally. He knew that we wouldn't be able to manage easily on a disability check and worked that last day of his life even though he was sick. He died in his truck when he left work. Now I watch my DVR's of ellen and talk to him while watching. I like to think he's up in heaven watching with me and chuckling at the funny things and crying with me at the sad ones. Thank you for being an inspiration to others to do all they can with their lives.

I would love to win these gifts for my son who was diagnosed with Leukemia 15 months ago. We have spent over 140 days in CHOC hospital last year and he has had three operations due to Chemo related complications. He became septic on day 4 of treatment and spent two weeks in ICU fighting to stay alive. He has had to learn to walk again and has many other challengs. He is only 16-years-old and has gone through more than most people go through in the entire lives. Every day at 4 p.m., we turned the hospital TV to the Ellen show. You made him laugh and smile when, honestly, he didn't have any reason to laugh or smile. My son has given to others in the hospital even when he was far worse than they were. He has smiled and inspired the doctors and nurses at CHOC and they have called him an inspiration! Please, I have sent emails in the past about my son and I would just love to surpise him because he so deserves to be honored. Thank you for entertaining him during Chemo and complications!

My 3 month old grandson sits on my lap and when he heres the music and dancing from the Ellen show he starts to kick his legs and his hands are going all over, it seems he is moving to the music and dancing to the music of the day.
