Tagger

Tagger really hopes you're 'it' -- meaning the one he's been waiting for. Sweet ol' Tagger has been through a lot lately. His favorite person was getting older and needed in-home care, but the caregiver they hired turned abusive. So his person went into an assisted living facility. Now that Tagger's person is in good hands, he's hoping to find himself in good hands, too.

It's hard out there for an old guy like him. Born in 2003, Tagger is a diabetic who needs medication. He's blind in one eye and partially blind in the other. It's hard for a special-needs guy like him to find a special, compassionate person to love him, but that doesn't get him down!

After finally getting to a safe place, Tagger's beautiful personality really came to light. He's excited to meet everyone, young and old alike. You just have to approach him carefully so as to not startle him. Giving kisses is one of his favorite activities! He'll snuggle in as close as he can get. He enjoys the companionship of other dogs, though he'll need to live with a patient one... who won't mind him accidentally bumping into them once in a while.

We aren't sure if he's been around cats before, but we can certainly test him if there are felines in your family.

Tagger has one of the best personalities. Is there someone out there willing to open their hearts to an old-timer like him?

Sam

Sweet Sam is a friendly, handsome Siamese mix who loves people and petting. A mellow cat, he's happy just to hang out with you, and even happier if he can hang out in your lap! He also loves other cats, and is good with bunnies and birds! Sadly, he lost his home when his person passed away.

Born in 1997, Sam receives fluid for renal problems, but he's still a happy, content sweetheart. Could you give Sam a second chance to have a home with someone special to love? Nobody appreciates being picked quite like an older cat!

Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is amazing! I just spent a week volunteering there and ended up adopting a 9-yr old terrier mix whose main goal in life is to play fetch! Raider has given me, a 66 yr old, reason to move, whether to take long walks or throw a tennis ball. The sanctuary made sure the match was absolutely right and made all the arrangements to deliver Raider to my area. Their people continue to ensure that we are doing well.
