I am the proud mother of an Eagle Scout who is gay. I would never allow him to give his Eagle award away as he earned it. Even though our sons are no longer in scouting and we do not agree with their anti-gay policy, we are still involved in scouting. I have see first hand what scouting can do for these young men. I hope someday that we never have to debate this, but until that time I will fight for the rights of gays and protect my son til my dying day. When my son told me he was gay I knew he would remember the woes I was about to say...I told him I love him. My husband, our daughter and our other son also support him. Don't support the Boy Scouts anti gay policy but do support what they do.
