This woman is my hero! I love how tough she is and how she doesn't care what anyone else thinks of her! I, like many other people, was bullied in Elementary School. That time in my life felt like hell and there were days where I dreaded going to school because I did not want to face the ridicule and humiliation of something I couldn't change. I'm so happy this woman did not back down to her bully and I think that she's just amazing! If I could see her, I would say thank-you for what she did. People need to stop with this idea that bullying is okay, and everyone gets bullied at some point. Because it's not.
P.S. Sorry my comment is so long.
Please help us make our nation aware of the bullying problem by helping California Diversity Pageant promote http://www.imbullyfree.org This is a great organization who is trying to empower our youth and put a stop to the bullying going on in our schools and our communities.
I'm not sure where exactly to say this but I thought this would be a good place. Thank you so much to everyone and especially Ellen for getting more people to be aware of bullying, both physical and psychological. Thank you so much.

I have a neighbor that's a bully. We had a disagreement over trash can placement. He claims the front of my house his park for his truck. Also try's to block me in when I park in front of my house. My wife and I have tried to talk to him and his wife and he curses me and his wife turns it on us as its our fault. Please Send advice and thank you , Ricky
Ok. My son Nathan is 12. He is on his final year of Primary School, doing Home Studies for the ending of his Grade 6. He's been ready and willing to go to a local High school next year, looking forward to it. He came home yesterday, after the day orientation at his new school. He came in the door, as the bus went, sat at the table, then burst into tears. He was being bullied in his Primary school by other kids, mainly a certain group of boys. Nathan is partially blind, with Aspergers (high functioning, autism). He is bright, but a bit slower in social skills. He was constantly bullied all the day, and at the school bus, poking, prodding and calling him names. I, myself am battling on the front line. I am so sad for him. My husband Tony and I had an interview with the Principle of the school the day before, to tell him about Nathan. My son Aaron 14 is popular, outgoing, enjoys school. To be honest, I don't know what to do.
I first want to Commend You Jennifer for what You said in response to that Hurtful Email. I was also bullied growing up and even thru H.S. I've struggled with My Weight most of My Life. Specially during P.E. I wouldn't change in front of anyone because I didn't want anyone seeing the Bruises and Welts and marks all over my body and legs from the beatings I endured at home. I would get nasty notes left in my P.E. locker. Alot of people don't realize that BULLYING Does really Hurt and can effect You emotionally as well as physically.
So I commend You Jennifer for Standing up and saying what You said. If We as Society DONT STOP Bullying, there will be MORE and MORE Victims. We must come together and Stand up and Speak Out.
Good morning. God love Eunuchs =(Gay) & Straight. We were with God before Being born here on earth. I can prove it, with the Holy Bible
Ive Been Bullied since kindergarden. And let me tell you it was not fun being bullied throughout all my school years. Bullying does affect people, like it affected me, But I thank god i have people to look up to, who inspired me to keep on going with live, because there is a reason i am here, and its not to please people, its to help others, to be somebody.
when I was in Junior High school, my family was in turmoil at home, and I went to school to be shoved, and nicknamed 'moose.' I look back on pictures, and I wasn't even that big. Just not the 110lb cheerleader type. I was a shy, smart girl, who was quiet, because of the fear I felt at home.Besides the bullying I felt at school, I was once told to stand in a certain place at a dance, thinking a popular boy wanted to dance with me. A few minutes later, I was sprayed with a fire extinguisher. These kids didn't know what I went through at home. But they shaped my self esteme most of my life. I wish I knew how to help the bullied children of the world now. I'm 48 in Ohio.
Sorry, I had left a comment about both Jennifer's brave act and also the Bully movie.
I referenced an antibullying campaign by boys ant an all boys school called Nobystanders.me but I didn't make the link live on the Nobystanders.me site.
It is http://www.nobystanders.me
Thanks so much!
Bullying hurts at any age, whether it's on the job or at school. The movie bully is such an important voice in the conversation and Jennifer was brave and so inspiring in standing up to her bully.
There are some boys at an all boys school who have taken an interesting stand against bullying. Some have been bullied, some have bullied but all of them have taken a pledge not to bully and not to be a bystander when they see bullying happen. They are hoping at least a thousand other people will promise the same.
Their antibullying video and website is at www.nobystanders.me
here is the link to the story about how she could possibly be charged . . stupid! http://www.torontosun.com/2012/10/17/toronto-cops-say-ass...
Oh and I also forgot to mention when the news agency contacted the police for their responce the Det. in charge said if they were to charge the girl with assult that they would have to charge my wife with Forcable Confinement . . .seriously . . then she went on to say" she got involed in something that wasn't her business!" so we should just stand by and let it happen i guess!
