Watching Ellen, I realized her interest in Breast Cancer Awareness, a topic close to home for my family and me. There were five sisters in my family and we have all experienced breast cancer. Two of my sisters have sinced passed away, but my youngest sister is our family hero as she faught this insidious disease for nearly 30 years. Three of us survive and continue to fight! I have had two bouts and am doing well now. One sister had a double mastectomy a year ago and is feeling great now. We will continue fight and win!! The interesting part of our story is...we do not carry the gene for breast cancer. Why it hit us all no one knows. Thanks Ellen for showing this concern for this important cause. Be well. Sincerely, Nancy Stoneburner
