Meatless Monday: Green Smoothie
This Green Smoothie recipe was sent in by Aisha C. from Passaic, NJ.
She uses a Vitamix 5200, but you can use whatever blender you have.
A handful of spinach
A few stalks of collard greens or Swiss
Green grapes with the seeds
A whole apple
A whole or half banana
Directions: Pour half cup of water in blender, then put all the ingredients in it, the green vegetables first then the fruit, you can add more water if needed. Then turn the Vitamix (or other mixer) on slowly, then fast from 1 to 10 and voila, you have the perfect green smoothie.
