Hi Ellen! You change my life every day. Every individual has a time in his life when things are going really bad. I had that time too. I stopped smiling when I was 18. then I found your videos on YouTube.you brought back what I missed the most about me - my laugh! You showed me that I can do everything! You gave me my confidence back and showed me that being kind to all living beings on this Planet is the most important thing in life. I am 23 years old and I've started an Animal rescue organisation in my home town. talking about animals' welfare in my country is hard, trying to explain to people why animals are important to me is even harder. in the last few months me and my friends saved more than 40 animals :) I have 5 rescued animals at my home right now. but I really wanted to tell you about my favorite rescue story. I found a dog 2 months ago. his Leg was cut in two by a train. I found him in the center of my town and stood there with him for 2 hours because no one wanted to give me a ride to the Vet. I don't have a car so I was begging people to help me bring him to the Vet. after 2 hours just 1 man stopped and helped me! his leg had to be amputated so no one wants to adopt him in Macedonia. I wrote to Save Aurora, page on Facebook, and they helped me to pay the bills for his surgery and to find him a home. we found a home for him in the USA now we are raising money so we can pay for his trip. you may think we are crazy, but Yes - we are trying to move a dog from Europe to USA. I hope that we can succeed and finally bring him to his forever home. It is really amazing that people from all over the world offered their help. people I've never met in my life ! thank you for being what you are Ellen! love you !!! and if anyone wants to help bringing this dog to the USA here is our Facebook page : http://www.facebook.com/HelpNapoleonFindAHome?fref=ts

Becomming disabled this last June and having to cancel my health insurance, now waiting for the 2 year period before I can get Medicare, I am now in bed daily by 3pm and the only thing I have to look foward to is Ellen at 4pm. Her personality and dry humor just crack me up. I laugh, cry and for and hour forget my problems. I love Ellen for being such a deep, caring and giving person.
I wanted to write for so long because I need help paying for physical therapy and many other medical bills, but I stopped myself because I kept thinking things like, I have a car, I have a home, even though it is falling apart around us, it's still a home and others have it so much worse. Maybe just not feeling as worthy. I was self employed as a hair stylist before disability, and I still do my Stained Glass Hobbie that used to be a busy business, about 8 to 10 hours per week and still have inventory that I am trying to sell.
I have always been a busy 2 job type person, worked all my life,(I am 55 years old) so it is very hard to except my disabilities and not just be able to go and give like I used to. I have always been independent and proud, but I am finally giving in to write this. I can not travel at all, my ability to walk is impaired by balance problems and chronic pain.
I just want Ellen to know that she has inspired me so much and I just look so foward to watching her show every day of the week. Thanks Ellen for all the cheer you have given me. Love, Amber Martin

Ellen,
I Love your show and your fun loving, compassionate, humble, generous, personality. You are soooo amazing and you are the kind of person I want to be. You and Tony make me laugh so hard that I almost pee my pants! I am disabled at a young age with Vasovagal Syncope and asthma and I'd like to get rid of my ADHD. =) But I keep laughing and pressing on. I love to make people LOL and feel good. That's what you and your show do for me! =) This year, once again, we have no money or gifts for Christmas, but we are thankful to have each other. It will be Me, my husband and my son with our 5 kitties celebrating the holidays. Thank you so much Ellen for all you do. You are my inspiration. Merry Christmas to you and Porche. Love you all! =)

Sincerely,
Debbi Mauk

Ellen,
You put smiles on my face everyday. Watching you fill hurting hearts, giving to charities and just giving, because you can. I admire you. I have been unemployeed since May 2012 and I am starting to get discouraged with job search. Unemployment benefits are being cut short, terminated on December 29, 2012 (fiscal cliff anticipation, I guess?). Holiday shopping is being put off for as long as possible, in hopes employment is around the corner? I love you Ellen. Keep America smiling with your generous heart and laughing with your humbling humor.

Hi Ellen!
Okay, so my story may not be the worst story you have ever heard, and I pray for those who have had it worse than me. I just want to let you know that I would not have been able to be here if it weren't for you. I am a 16 year old girl that has been depressed thoroughout her life and all I have wanted to do is sing. My parents never believed me when I said I was depressed, and to this day they don't believe me about it. I just want to let you know that you were the only person that could get me to smile and laugh for quite some time. From your dancing, to witty jokes, and just your personality in general; you have helped me through. I wish that there was some humanly possible way that I could thank you enough or repay you for all that you have done for me just by having your show. I have been singing for years now and I never had the confidence to perform, but I started to believe in myself once I started watching your show. Now I love to perform and it is the one thing that still brings joy into my life. If it weren't for you, I would not be the musician that I am today and I thank you oh so much for that! I love you, Ellen!

This is me.. thank you for allowing me to spread my wings and fly ♥

ELLEN DEGENERES...I have watched you on television for as long as I can remember. I have watched your stand up, my mom and I would watch your sitcom together and now as an adult I watch you talk show EVERYDAY, even if I am not home when it's on, Thank goodness for DVR! My husband and I have struggled since pretty much the day we said I DO. We lost our home ( do to poor record keeping.... lesson learned), had a baby, moved into a house with no heat ( we couldn't afford it), I lost my job do to pregnancy complications, and ended up moving yet again. My husband and I moved my brother in to our 3 bedroom home because he was very depressed, lonely and a few times talked of suicide. Because of this new living arrangement ( he moved upstairs in our home which was not insulated) and a few months later moved his 9 year old son in with us, our electric bill in 1 month went from a normal bill to about 10 times what a normal bill was. Due to lack of help on our landlords part, we had to go to churches ( which we didn't belong to) and ask for donations to help with our outstanding electric bill. I had no way of paying and I had a 1 year old child at the time. My brother was unemployed and had no means to help. We eventually moved from that home into our current residence. Things are starting to look up for us but the difficulties are still there. We lost our second car last year on our 4th wedding anniversary because we couldn't afford two cars. My husband currently works 2 jobs and is contemplating going back to school to finish his degree, which would leave me and my boys at home everyday all day long, which is not much of an issue because I know that education is everything and we want to instill education into the lives of our two young boys. My husband is a man of genuine rare qualities. Like I said before he works 2 jobs, plans to go back to school full time, but I know, that even though he will be gone most of the time, when he is home he will still help clean, cook, and take of the boys. Not to mention any chores outside our home that need to be completed. What I am trying to say is that even though things are hard, and money is scarce your show gives me, along with so many other people, hope. Hope that things will get better, and there are still GOOD people in the world who put others first. An in the midst of all of that still manage to smile and dance and make others do the same. Thank you for the last 10 seasons of The Ellen Degeneres Show, thank you for all of your goofy jokes, thank you for the dances, the smiles, and the HOPE!!! You are my ambassador of QUAN!

Hey Ellen, I couldn't find anything on the site to talk about this. I have a friend who loves you, and her name is Jade. She had surgery on her stomach years ago and something happened, her stomach actually erupted, to make a long story short. She's in constant pain every single day, can't eat much, her hair has fallen out, and no doctor will help her due to liabilities. She's thinking about suicide. I keep telling her to apply to shows like Dr. Phil and you, well, she knows the chances of you hearing her are slim, so I'm doing it for her. She says she's giving herself 6 months, and if she can't find a doctor who will help her, she's going to pull the plug on her life. If you can help, please let her know...she just wants a good doctor, not to be on the show...she has insurance. If you can write back, I'll give you her contact information. Please, any help would be appreciated for my friend!

Sincerely,

Kate Kovach

Hi Ellen!
Well first of all, where do I begin? Ellen you are absolutely amazing. Not only can you make me smile like a nut while I'm watching your show but you can make me cry of happiness and just laugh like a loon. The things you do like help people who need it, give people a head start in there careers etc. makes me want to be just like you one day. I'm only 15 and still not sure if I want to pursue a career in music, drama or should I just start my own talk show?!?! You have taught me so much from standing up for what I believe in to seeing the bigger picture of a situation. The fact that you go to work every day and can go home with the pleasure of knowing you've made so many people smile must be the most amazing feeling ever. Even though I live so far away ( Middle East) I make sure to always keep up with the show, because I know if I've had a bad day I can just watch you and know I'll smile! One day I hope I can sit on that couch right next to you and be able to make you laugh and smile because that would mean more than the universe to me.
Thank you so much for reading this :)

Hi Ellen. My name is Alyssa Ershen.I live in a small rural community. (St.Clair Missouri) I'm currently an 8th grader at St.Clair Junior High. My parents got divorced when I was 6 months old. My mom, Rhonda, worked as a hairstylist for 25 years. My mom had noticed she was having problems standing all day at the shop or holding the comb in 2005 but no doctors would diagnose her with anything. In 2007, my mom was fired from her job due to MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Problems. This was a year before she was actually diagnosed with MS in October 08. They didn't diagnose her until she lost her vision in her right eye. Since September 2004 to May 2012, My mom has had 4 Heartattacks, 11 stents, a triple bypass, and back surgeries. She is on about 14 different medications and everyday either me or my step dad, Terry, give her a compaxone shot to slow down the progression of her Ms. I have heard stories about My Cousin Tereasa who was also diagnosed with ms. Her Ms got so bad she had to be in a wheel chair and ended up dying. There are somedays when my mom has what we like to call her bad days. These days are when shes too tired to cook dinner or complete simple tasks and her mind can't function right.Even when my mom isn't feeling good or in a good mood, shes still watches your show everyday. It's really hard for my mom to get a job because of her MS and her back problems. She has been on disability ever since she got fired. My stepdad works reallly hard to support me and my mom.Whenever overtime is available he takes it. If I could get a job I defiantly would take it to help support our family. We currently only have one vehicle. It breaks down every now and then but it gets my step dad to work and thats all that matters. My step dad calls the truck the Jewel (lol) and he said he's going to drive it until it dies. Last Thanksgiving my parents got into a car crash and the entire front of our truck was smashed. I'm sure you probably won't see this but if you did I would be sooo happy. My mom has been a truly amazing mom and I love her so much, it kills me to think of what its going to be like in the future with her disease. My parents are unaware of me writing this but this would be an Amazing suprise for them. Thank you!(:
Love, Alyssa<3
