Exclusive! Ellen's Walk into Season 10

Dear Everyone and Anyone,

Hi, my name is John Toomey. Since I was 8, I have been dreaming and thinking about doing a television series or having my own show.
At first, I didn’t know what kind of television show it would be but now I think I know. I have been Bullied all my life. I have seen things about Bullying on TV and the Internet and I think this is not enough.
I am writing this letter to anyone who is willing to help or give input in anyway possible. I am not trying to cause any kind of trouble.
I would like to tell you a little about myself. I was born in Michigan in 1983. I was misdiagnosed at the age of 3 with ADHD. I didn’t know I had Autism until I was 16 and in high school. By the time I was 21, I had worked at McDonalds, Target and had been a contestant on The Price Is Right. (See YouTube--"Price Is Right Autism”.) I moved to Florida working for a major theme park in 2004.
Through my life in school, I was Bullied and had no friends at all. However, no one knew, including my teachers and parents, that I have had a type of Autism called Aspergers Syndrome. People were calling me fagot and gay. I am not any of those things and it should not matter anyway.
I see and keep seeing more people being Bullied outside of schools as well, handicapped or not. I see it every day, at work, and when I am out in public. I see the same thing. I even see people who are famous ( television, radio, music, movies, sports, etc..) getting pushed and shoved, getting asked for autographs and photographs when they are trying eat, or doing something else, and I think that is wrong That itself is a type of bullying.
I think that everyone of us is famous in his/her own way. What makes one person more special than the other? Not because we see or hear him/her on television, films, radio, or music. It is also not because he/she plays on a sports team big or small.
I think that we should be reminded that we are all still just human no matter how different each and everyone is.
I started to think I can host some kind of nationwide talk show television series that centers around people who are Handicapped, someone who was being Bullied, someone showing Diversity, someone showing Values, someone showing Friendship, and someone showing what is in this world, like ME. In other words, a program that displays what is is like to be you.
I am coming to anyone because I see that many people understand this and like to help. Everyone has a caring heart. What I am asking is for anyone’s help or anyone that you may know, who can or would be able to help me make this dream a reality.
This talk show idea would be along the lines of Mr. Rogers, Oprah, Ellen DeGeneres, Anderson Cooper, and Rachael Ray, combination of all five. My Television program would feature people of all ages. Anyone who appears on my show would be my friend from any walk of life or occupation. They would display his or her work or job.
I think of each and everyone of you as a friend.
We are all different in many ways whether we are handicapped or not. It doesn’t matter how you look. It doesn’t matter whether if you are big, small, short, or tall. Everyone in this world is famous and special in his/her own way. I don’t know where know to start or where to begin.
I know that you all are busy. If someone could meet me to talk about how I felt and feel, I will be more than happy to do so. Maybe one of you know someone who could help me. I know that a lot of you like to surprise people in all sorts of ways.
In addition, I hope that you will pass this onto other people. Keep this in mind that You are You, and I am Me. Just know and understand that I want to display that people with Autism or people who are handicapped, CAN do things.
What I have already done in my life, I feel is great. I have worked at McDonald, met Bob Barker and have been a contestant on The Price is Right, and now I work at a major theme park. At one point for 3 years, I gave speaking tours to about 150 people at a time.
I don't know what is next. Maybe this talk show idea I have been dreaming and thinking about will happen. Again, I hope someone or anyone who may be reading this, does help or respond in some way.
