There are many reasons to switch to a vegan diet-- your health, the health of animals, and the health of the planet. In this book, Dr. Will Tuttle examines the spiritual side of diet, and how our food choices affect our conscience. He offers a set of principles that allow us to become more free, more intelligent, more loving, and happier in the choices we make.

Ellen is awesome and hilarious and I totally commend her for thinking about her impact on the world and actually going so far as to change her lifestyle in order to reduce her footprint (something that lots and lots of people simply aren't willing to do). However, the idea that refraining from eating and using animal products is better for the enviroment is a myth. Sadly she and her wife and many many other people out there (myself included) have been mislead. I promise you eating more soybeans is absolutely not going to help our plantet in crisis. Please anyone out there that is vegan or vegetarian I urge you to read the book The Vegetarian Myth by Lierre Keith.
