Annika

• Born in 2011
• Gets along with other cats just fine, but typically keeps to herself
• Loves people
• Loves snack time

Annika is a young, sweet, mellow, and healthy girl who is grateful for any attention, but doesn't demand it. Now that is a wonderful cat!

And Annika is wonderful in more ways than that. She shows a hint of shyness at first, just enough to be endearing. But she quickly warms up, and then it's loving all the way. She is okay with other kitties, but would prefer to be the only cat. She's a quiet girl whose favorite activity is to sleep in the warm sun.

It's a mystery how she found her way into a community cat colony. Clearly she didn't belong there. Now that she's safely at Best Friends, she doesn't have to focus on survival and can focus on being a great friend.

Mandy

• Gender: Female
• Born in 2010
• Happy, smart, and playful
• Likes play dates, but would probably prefer to be an only dog

Mandy really is the perfect package in a dog! She has many admirers among Best Friends staff and visitors. We're all pulling for her to find that special someone. But there's just one challenge. She's either an escape artist or just a very smart girl who gets bored easily.

Mandy is a very quick girl who figured out how latches on fences work. If it's a latch she hasn't mastered, then she might climb the fence. That might be how she ended up roaming the streets. But since no one came looking for her, she's come looking for someone new. And it won't take long for this friendly, outgoing girl to break her way into your heart. Who can resist her bouncy, enthusiastic greeting?

This sweet girl just wants her very own person who is willing to take her for long leash walks and give her lots of love and attention. What do you say? Can this healthy, young girl cozy up next to you?
