Love you Ellen and your show. Just love seeing deserving peoples' appreciation when you take some of their needs and wishes into your own hands. Home makeovers are just amazing. To own a home is a dream come true for many and sometimes it just becomes hard to keep your dream home maintained. We bought our dream home in 2003 in a rural area. We had some termite problems that seem to be taken care of, but in the process our hot water pipeline was busted. We didn't notice it until problems surfaced. For now we are able to manage the problem, but it is not a doable solution. I entered for a chance to win a home makeover. I hope I am one of your lucky fans to receive your generosity. You are such a magnet, bless you.
I want to enter my parents into you amazing home make over. My Dad is from St. Martinville, LA. My step-mother is from Eugene, OR.My parents are extremely hard working people. About, 7-8 years ago they sold a track home in uptight area, and bought 15 acres of land. As they bought a older home from a old woman who lost her home due to city renovated that area of town. After, they paid for home to be moved my step-mother unfornately found out she had breast cancer after parially retiring from postaljob. Therefore, causung my parents to pay for all of her medical cost to treat her cancer out of pocket. That has slowed down theri attempts to finish their home. They live in a trailer on the property. I am a single parent and live with them also, currently due to job loss. I try to help as much as I can. But, it hardly puts a dent in what they are ultimately trying to achevieve.
