On her recent trip to New Orleans, Ellen met up with her friend Brad Pitt to tour the 9th Ward. After Hurricane Katrina, the 9th Ward was devastated. Brad's organization, "Make It Right," has done incredible work to rebuild, and Ellen was thrilled to see the progress.

I don't know if this has anything to do with I watch your show when I get a chance but I need some one to talk to I was in a car accident I got rear ended the people who hit me didn't have insurance I only had liability sad part is I hurt really bad and without a car my only transportation I recommend people to get no fault insurance or full coverage not liability cause your insurance won't help cause its just liability so pretty much you loose unless you can afford a lawyer so it sucks hurt and no car so recommend full coverage car insurance or no fault Thanks for letter me vent. Dear Ellen, I have a friend who Lived in Lafitte, LA, and lost everything during Hurricane Isaac due to flooding. She could really use some help. She is not eligable for fema assistance because she could not afford to have her house raised and did not qualify for the insurance. They fixed up their trailer after Katrina and now have to go thru the same thing with Isaac. I wish I could help but am not in a position to financially do so. If you or Mr. Pitt could be of any assistance please, please get in touch with me. We love your show and enjoy watching you help so many I thought maybe you could help a little with this.
