PATCHES

Affectionate and curious, Patches is a mature girl who still looks and plays like a kitten. This very friendly, pretty lady loves people, other cats, playing with toys, and looking outside. She also enjoys as much attention and petting as she can get!

An easygoing gal, Patches is the most gentle soul you'll ever meet. When you look into her eyes, you'll see an inquisitive and caring cat. Absolutely adorable, Patches is healthy, but toothless. She came to Best Friends after her person passed away.

If you appreciate the wisdom and beauty of a mature girl who doesn't act her age, please consider giving this cute little cat a second chance. She's more than ready to find a real home and a person or family of her own to love.

COLE

Old King Cole is a merry old soul and he's happiest when on a leash by your side!

It's a little unusual, but Cole is actually much more relaxed and open to petting when he's on a leash. Maybe he's just in tune to that physical connection with you. He does have a very sensitive spirit. He came to Best Friends from another rescue, and we don't know much about his history.

We do know that for a boy born in 1999, he's in great shape. And everyone can see he's a BIG boy! He looks like a wolf, and is a little shy, but will sniff you to get to know you. Once he's made that connection, he's a sweet friend. And, very unlike a wild animal, he loves to lounge in a pool to cool off in the dog days of summer.

Cole seems to enjoy the company of female dogs rather than other males. If you already have a dog, it would be best to visit first to introduce the two. And Cole would be happiest in a home without children, because of his age and shyness.

If you've ever wished you could befriend a wolf, Cole is the next best thing! You could be the first person to give Cole the home he deserves.

Cole the dog and Patches the cat are in Best Friends Champions of Love* program, which means their adoption fees are waived! (Transportation fees may apply.) And if you can't adopt, you can still help by becoming Patches and Cole's champion by helping to promote them, or any of the other "kids" you find on the Champions of Love website: http://champion.bestfriends.org/Default.aspx.

Best Friends adopts to all of the United States and Canada. Please contact Best Friends Animal Society right here.
