I would love to win the JCP Gift Card or I should say I need to win the JCP Gift Card. Our son has finally found his sole mate & I think a wedding is in the very near future. We'd love to help in anyway we can with expenses & I would love to buy myself a beautiful dress that would make my son proud & have JCP fix my hair that would not show how thin my hair is due to chemo treatments. This gift card would allow us to help them with a few expenses & buy them things they need for their home & get myself a dress to be proud of & get my hair done for their special day coming up in the near future. We have had so many unplanned situations that have left us in a very tight fixed income with no wiggle room for anything. This would be a dream come true for a special event that is in our near future that at some points in my life did not think I would be here to see & now is in our sights for the near future. It could be our way of thanking our son for being such an awesome child growing up & being so supportive through my 3 bouts of cancer & 2 back surgeries & my husbands heart attacks & knee surgeries. He truly had to grow up fast during his high school years & we would love to add some help to the situation. Not to even begin on the things we need for our home like towels and sheets and maybe a bedspread that fits our bed?? Thank you Ellen for always making us smile everyday -- we love your show and my husband and I watch it together all the time and he thinks you are the just the best!!!! Thank you for all you do for all those in need -- you are truly an angel on this earth -- love you Ellen!!!! Please think of us when considering the winner of the JCP Card. Going through all we have gone through has piled up our debt more than we can handle and has left us needing to put so many things on hold that truly need to be replaced or fixed like the car and some furniture. I know there are others more deserving of this but Ellen we are in deeper debt than you know and it is making our forced early retirements & medical situations tough on us no matter what direction we turn. We stay strong & we stay positive through everything but it is not as easy on my husband because he came from very little material things in his life but had all the love anyone could hope for. So he takes pride in what he has and how well he can keep things up but that has changed over the years & I would love to see that pride swell back up in my husband and see him proud and excited of his accomplishments he has worked so hard to get but right now can not keep them up as well as needed. Thanks for listening to my story & you don't know what this could for do us right now -- so much more than one could ever imagine!!!! Thanks again Ellen -- Love you and your show -- you are the best!!!!

Dear Ellen,
I have tried to write in to your show at least 5 times now and never get a response, I know you are extremely busy but if you could find it in your heart to help out a faithful watcher (everyday), you have NO idea what that would mean to me and my family. You are an amazing woman for all the good you do and all the dreams you make come true. Sometimes when i'm watching you surprise a family, I cry for them, not out of envy but out of the generosity and human love you share with other people, and to see the faces on the people you so kindly help. I would love to be on that list, my husband thinks i'm crazy for writing sooo many times but I told him " You can't win if you don't watch and make your voice heard! I think that's something you would say. We live on the East coast in a little town in Massachusettes. Please help us, we didn't have a Christmas tree until, 2 days before christmas due to fianances and not much at all under the tree we got donated to us. Our car (1997) chevy cavalier is on it's last leg and we are really down on our luck, we are more than 5 mths behind on our rent, thank God we have an understanding landlord or we would have No place to go with our children. So this contest means a lot to me. Thank you for all you do and all the joy you give to others. keep up the amazing work, never change who you are and always DANCE!!! I hope to hear from you soon! All my love.

Well, it's getting down to the wire and I would have thought that I would have won by now, lol, but , I'm not givingnup and hope that the next two days will bring me some good news. By the way does Ellen ever come to St. Louis for shows or anything else. It's really a beautiful city and the Casinos are very nice. There is a 5 star hotel next to one of the casinos and the Gateway Arch is up the street and of course, our beautiful Mississippi River is minutes away, come check us out. GOOD LUCK TO ME'
