For vegan cookbooks, I would recommend anything by Isa Chandra Moskowitz. My favorite by her is "Vegan with a Vengeance". Tons of great recipes written in a style that is actually fun to read!

I've been vegan for a year. Plant-based meals are great, but I know there are certain foods that, when combined, add a stronger "pow" to the meal. Do you know of a formula I can follow that will help me get the most nutrition from my meals? This formula would make meal planning so much easier. There are a lot of recipes, but a menu formula for the day would be so helpful. For example: breakfast
2 fruits
1 "dairy"
1 whole grain

Thanks

Ellen I want to bring to your attention a very talented young man, Eli Lieb. Check him our on youtube. He is from Fairfield, Iowa, where I live now and I attended a concert that was held at the Sondheim Center for performing arts. He would be wonderful for your show. He has an album, called Eli Lieb. Thanks Ellen!
