Dear Ellen,

I guess I will not give up on you reading my letter one day. I know you will pick up the phone to tell me I am coming on your show one day I love you so much you are a big part of my life ever day. My life has taken me on a 360... ride I have never been in this place in my life where I have not had money or things to take care of myself. This has put me in another place I am always sad and depressed about everything. Then the last thing I had to keep me going is my car and that gave out on me so now I don’t have a car to get around. I know I write you all the time I am not a crazy person I just love the person you are. I live with a friend that rents out a room with her two dogs. And this space is not big but for right now this is the best that I can do and she can do. But I thank her for letting me stay here with her from time to time. Then I go stay with my other friends sometimes on the weekend so that my other friend will not have to pay 100.00 more for me being there. And I have two kids that I can’t help with anything because I just don’t have it to help them I just ask that one day you see my letter and call me. I love the person that you are Ellen thank you for putting a smile on my face each and everyday. Diana Davis

Dear Ellen:

Your show inspires me. I try to surround my life with only positive things in this incredibably negative world. Thanks for trying to change that. I work in Pediatric Oncology. Many of my "kids" watch your show during there chemo treatments. I am always the late nurse, and me and one my the kids had so much fun playing Head Games, the other night.
So many of the families I work with have agonizing stories. One in particular is a man who has 3 children. We have treated his youngest daughter since she was an infant. She comes in monthly for blood transfusions. Throughout the years we have gotten to know each other. His wife died, a few years ago, and then the father himself went into kidney failure. He was on dialysis for a long time. We tried to encourage him to have a kidney transplant, but he did not want to--because the anti-rejective medications could have caused cancer, and he refused them. After much encouragement for this man, who travels 2 hours, with three kids, every month to save his daughter, he finally decided to get the transplant. He now has a second chance. He has financial losses, of course, after all he has been through. He is man who never complains. He makes me want to be a better person. I wish this man and his family find comfort and peace and enjoy the rest of his life with his family. He is truly and inspiration for all of us nurses who have taken care of this family for the past 15 years.

Hello Ellen:

I am a Pediatric Oncology Nurse. Although it may be the hardest job to do, it is the most grounding, soul inspiring, and etherial jobs you can ever imagine--other than yours. Tonight, while finishing up with one of my patient's last treatments, this sweet young soul, who loves you dearly (so do I), showed me how to download the Apps for Head Games and Know or Go. We had so much fun playing it.

My husband bought me a trip to LA when I turned 50, so that I could come and see your show. He did not know that your show did not air in the summer. We had a great time anyway. We cherish every moment we had in LA, and met Kurt Russel, and saw many celebrities. I am a MAJOR movie watcher, so that was complete HEAVEN for me. I loved California--and Beverly Hills

We all love Ellen. You make the kids laugh during long days of chemo and chaos. It decreases the stress of needles, and unwanted procedures. You are a wonderful distraction. Totally medicinal. Thank you for making my life and all those kids lives a little easier.

Thank you for making my job easier. When the kids turn on their t.v's at the start of their chemo, their minds are re-directed to laughter and happiness. When I get home, I get to watch you on tvo, and it erases all (almost) the sad stories in my day.

God Bless you. We are all trying to be Good to Each Other

Sincerely from Canada,
